Bottom 5th, Kyler Fedko with the first UConn homer in the new ballpark leading off the inning. 5-3. Crawford follows with a no out double, but is stranded.

Top 6th, Kenny Haus relieves Casparius to start the inning. Scoreless inning after Pat Winkel throws out a stolen base attempt to end the inning.

Bottom 6th, first two UConn batters reach base on an error and Brown's first walk of the season. Kyler Fedko gets intentionally walked with 2 out. Crawford drives in 2 runs with a single to tie the game at 5.

Glad we have the lead but the lack of clutch hits is frustrating! I thought we were coming out of this funk- maybe Elliot Field doesn't feel like home yet!
 
Top 8th, Chris Winkel is a defensive replacement in the outfield, Ferrer comes out of the game. Haus gets the first out, followed by a single. Wurster coming in to pitch. Gets a double play on the first pitch. My god, two double plays for the UConn defense in one game!

Top 9th, Wurster gives up a walk and a hit by pitch to the first two URI batters. With one out, he hits another batter to load the bases, putting the tying run at the plate. A two out single brings in a run to make it 9-6. That's the final score, UConn wins!

Sounds like something I would do with the dog sometimes. Tomorrow is going to be a split attention day with women's basketball starting at the same time as baseball. Don't know how much posting I'll be doing on that one.
 
I'm afraid they are over pitching Wurster. Still begs the question why we have not seen 2 past quality relievers in Lucas and Mayock and no mention of them that I have heard?
