Bottom 1st, after getting the first 2 batters out, Sears strands 2 runners in scoring position. 2-0 UConn.
 
Love Sears - the slider can be a strikeout pitch, and the dude pumps in strikes & works fast.
 
Top 2nd, Dalena with a leadoff single and the next batter Hyde follows with a walk. Nothing comes of it, UConn offense hits into another double play. 2-0 UConn.
 
UConn's philosophy to avoid sacrifice bunt attempts is one I agree with, especially in early innings. Unfortunately, it probably backfired there.

Both pitchers are continuing to get squeezed early.
 
Even the FAU announcers are complaining about the ridiculously small strike zone for Sears. Just unreal. Bases loaded, 2 outs for FAU.
 
Bottom 2nd, Sears gives up 2 walks and a hit by pitch to load the bases with 2 outs. Sears walks in a run to make it 2-1 UConn. Another walk ties the game at 2 going to the top of the 3rd..
 
The last 2 walks were legit - Sears has lost his composure after he should have been out of this inning already.
 
Mercifully the inning is over with 2 runs across. Tie game going into the 3rd.

The strikezone has been small for both teams - I'd like to see more patient at bats, like the one Hyde had last inning.
 
MIXLR went off the air for a little bit in the bottom of the second inning, it is back now.
 
Bottom 3rd, Sears strikes out the first batter, then Tom Ellisen comes in to pitch.
 
Chris Jones suggesting that Devin Kirby might be available to pitch again after this weekend games are over.
 
Bottom 3rd, Ellisen gets 2 quick outs to end the inning, game tied at 2.

Chris Jones saying that UConn has a lot of guys available to pitch out of the bullpen today.
 
Top 4th, UConn loads the bases with nobody out on walks and a hit by pitch. Smith with an rbi single, 3-2 with no out and the bases still loaded. Morton with a sac fly, 4-2 UConn. A 2 out Huber double drives in 2 more runs to make it 6-2 UConn. After a pitching change, Studley follows with a rbi single, 7-2 UConn.
