Cue Santa Baby....If Flugaur was write about his UConn-B12 assessment, we will hear a report that talks have resumed by the end of the month
It sounds like an invite is imminent
If this is being done just to piss off FSU, I find this rumor to be more credible.Keep your eyes out for an invite from the ACC,
)I would agree. FSU is a mess now. Will have to rely on the portal again. They have the NIL. But as we have seen having a whole team of portal players is hit or miss. You need to have a core team of players that come through development and fill in gaps with portal players to play in the CFP. Maybe Clemson will learn that lesson this off season. It is obvious QB position is the most likely portal position to quickly improve your team.If this is being done just to piss off FSU, I find this rumor to be more credible.
(UConn football played ACC teams 3 times this year, losing all three by 7 points or less. That would seem to be the sweet spot of admission desirability.)
(This is the moment when Conspiracy Kitty says, "But... the only team we lost to by more than 1 possession is Maryland... the B1G discussions started weeks ago")If this is being done just to piss off FSU, I find this rumor to be more credible.

omg not this againIt sounds like an invite is imminent
you are the only one to actually think this. Been 0 rumors about thisKeep your eyes out for an invite from the ACC, not a sure thing, but may be more likely than one from B12, especially after the B12 teams didn't too well in the football season.
yeah, they're certainly not a powerhouse like the Big East*
* satire
But they heavily weigh on TV network executives and future TV contracts.
What do playoffs matter? TV ratingd count. That is what drives what you get paid for a TV contractHaha. I’m sure that’s what will push the Big 12 into two playoff berths
Some itk posters have said school has had conversations with multiple conferences. Considering we know the B12 is one, easy to figure out which one is the other.you are the only one to actually think this. Been 0 rumors about this
I have given up any hope they could add us when SMU was invited...major put in the gut. I understand they are making 0 revenue but still a huge blow. Some itk posters have said school has had conversations with multiple conferences. SMU has made the most of the invite. First year in the ACC championship game.I have given up any hope they could add us when SMU was invited...major put in the gut. I understand they are making 0 revenue but still a huge blow.
Totally agree, kudos to them. Bfore this year I never thought of them on the same level as us as a national brand/athletics department. I guess this year they proved me wrong with an outstanding football season.SMU has made the most of the invite. First year in the ACC championship game.
SMU was no great shakes for a long time. Rhett Lashlee has been there for 3 years and has gone bowling every year. They join the ACC and bang, best record in the conference. Stanford and Cal both 2-6 in conference. FSU dead last. Makes you wonder, with all the mistakes that conference has made, what the hell are they looking for now? A power football program? Another mediocre prgram to come in and win the conference? UConn is such a no-brainer, I almost want to never go near the ACC it seems to make every wrong call.SMU has made the most of the invite. I think UConn should be in the ACC, but SMU football can be a top 25 team in the new environment. They have the NIL support.SMU was no great shakes for a long time. good question. I'm thinking he's looking at Clemson which is in the ACC championship game with 3 losses. If Clemson wins, that might be enough to leapfrog Boise State. So the 4th bye spot would be between Clemson and the winner of Arizona State-Iowa State.Confused - which 3 loss team is in top 4 ?

You are looking at one scenario although it would be interesting if they both winIf Clemson and Boise both win, there's no way Clemson leapfrogs Boise.
Not sure what point you are trying to makeYou are looking at one scenario although it would be interesting if they both win
Clemson could win and Boise could lose. What say you then
I think Clemson would most certainly leapfrog Boise St. Then it would come down to where Arizona St or Iowa St falls
Yeah, I'm not sure what Yormark is thinking, post #1,975. Maybe he thinks that Clemson would leapfrog either Boise State if they both win or Clemson would leapfrog the Arizona St/Iowa St winner. For some reason he must feel that the Big 12 is being shunned somehow. Maybe a whole lot of banter about nothing. I think in the end, he is not happy with Boise St being ranked so high leaving one of the P4 out. He focused on strength of schedule. Not sure what point you are trying to make
If Boise loses then it makes the whole discussion moot since they wouldn't be a conference champion and both the B12 and ACC would get the bye.

OK, I found it. I guess it's a measuring contest between the ACC, Big XII and G5 Boise State.
Big 12 commissioner Yormark: ‘No way should a Group of 5 champion be ranked above our champion’
"“The (selection) committee continues to show time and time again that they are paying attention to logos versus resumes,” said Yormark. “Strength of schedule should matter and wins against Power 4 opponents should matter.”"
This is BY being BY and pumping up his conference and trying to create that illusion of P4 and everyone else separation.
The Big 12 doesn’t have an elite team this year and he’s doing exactly what he’s saying committee shouldn’t: judge a team based on logo. In this case, the P4 logo.
FSU is bad. Clemson has 3 losses. SMU was a G5 last year. We’re suddenly supposed to think the ACC with their P4 logo is sitting right there with the BIG and SEC??? Same with Big 12. There is certainly some separation, but not enough to simply discredit a very solid Boise state team for not being in Big 12 or ACC. Both those conferences have some weak teams to boost stats and records.
Their weakness in football could hurt UConn's chances to get into the conference, given that Memphis and even Tulane are much better than we are -- at least for now.The Big 12 is pretty damn weak in football. Overall they are stronger than the MWC. But they don’t have anyone that is better than Boise imo.
