I have been critical of Cav for last few years. Not going to run from that. Look at facts. However I am thrilled with this yesrs team. We look like the better team most nights. Absent a couple wtf losses early our record would be incredible. Team just feels different. Faster, crisp and accurate passing. My main consistent criticisms have been cured. Way better power play, better PK. Defensive zone breakouts. All 3 amazing so far this year. And a bunch of likeable guys who seem to have great chemistry. Loving this ride. Hockey always tough in post season one and done but this team has a chance for incredible things. Why not us? Go Huskies!
I Wood agree.Nick Peruzzi was a good add.
Cant help but wonder aloud if the team chemistry was just a matter of addition by subtraction.
I like what you did there....I think it is true. those "drafted" players probably have people in their circles giving them a big head. this year the team has the right mentality and centralized focus. I wonder how they would have bought into a playbook created by their teammates. glad we never have to know.I Wood agree.
seems ok at #3 Minnesota, 3rd leading scorerSchandor and Spietz were not coming back if Wood was still here. Saying Wood was a clubhouse cancer is an understatement.
Revisionsist history with Wood now that we're sitting at 8th in pairwise without himSchandor and Spietz were not coming back if Wood was still here. Saying Wood was a clubhouse cancer is an understatement.

-> 10. UConn continues hot streak in Hockey East
Is there a team hotter than Connecticut right now? The Huskies took care of Hockey East’s other Huskies over the weekend (wins of 5-2 and 7-1 over Northeastern) to continue their scintillating 2025, earning their fifth win in a row to extend their current streak to 11-2-2 since the new year.
Looking for their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance, UConn is now eighth in the PairWise. The Huskies are currently fourth in Hockey East, three points behind Boston University, and look to lock up a bye in the upcoming Hockey East tournament with one game left, at Vermont on Thursday. <-
Polls are nice. But the Pairwise rules at this time of the year. Beat Vermont. Win the first round, get to the TD. Those are the only important things now. Focus focus focus.UConn moves up a spot to #8 this week:
