UConn MHOC 2024-25

Explain it to me. You are talking to a guy who blogged on UConn hockey for a couple of decades on HOCKEY-L. But yes, I have to ask.
Hes saying hes going to tomorrows hockey game

He played hockey growing up into ?high school, it was his first love till he stopped and concentrated on football. There have been convos/interviews during football season about him getting to a game. He’s just following through.
Damn did not know that. Quite a story. They gotta make sure they get him on the big screen at some point during the game

I'm sure many here know better than me but I believe if we can end conference play in the top four in Hockey East (may be a bit ambitious after our PC & UMass losses) and make it to the sermifinals (again, top four) in the conference tournament, we should be in good shapr for an at-large bid. I believe this should be the goal for the remainder of the season.

I agree. Still a lot of hard work to do. After Alaska Anchorage this Wednesday, these are the remaining HEA games.

15 available points…how many can we realistically expect to earn? i would be overjoyed with 10.

Thx. Hard to imagine that I missed that over on football. But I do not look at every thread.

Worth a shot... Im looking for a ticket, for 2/21 vs Maine, looks to be just about a sell out but would like to get a ticket in section 104. TIA

On prior form, 9. Stretch goal 12. It could easily be only 6 though. That is the deal with HE. On any given night ....

Maybe but with a couple of wins I think Manchester is the place
I would absolutely love that. I recall the year sometime around year 2000 that the then Hartford Civic Center hosted a college hockey challenge between the ECAC and HE. New Hampshire played Cornell or RPI I think in the first game. An hour and a half after the game ended, there was a gigantic traffic jam reported where I-291 ends at its northbound exit onto I-495. That could happen in the opposite direction if UConn plays in Manchester.

I have always thought that a highly successful UConn hockey program would draw really well. Last 2 games in Hartford had 11000 and 57000. At the HEA championships in Boston UConn had a great representation. If Yale would awake from a decade long slumber, the CT Ice in Hartford would be a no brainer. So would bidding for a regional. UConn, BC, Sacred Heart and QU/Yale would sell out the weekend. Of course the NCAA will probably send them all to Fargo.

Agreed. But say what you want about Yale, they have won a national championship and not all that long ago. UConn by contrast has never been to the tournament.
