UConn in the WNBA

Once again. Dallas loses and Lou sits. Didn't even get the 20 seconds she got last game.

Crowd of 20,333 for the Mystics and Caitlin. The largest crowd in the W in 17 years. Maybe Washington should rethink their 4,200-seat arena!
Correction, Mr. Leonis (sic?). Isn't he the one who decided to move them into. smaller arena when he took over the team? He wasn't getting much love when he was thinking of moving the team to Virginia either.

By “Washington,” I mean the team, not the District government. Yes, Ted Leonsis decided on the ESA.

Holy smokes!! At one point before the season started, there was talk about the Mystics moving to a different stadium due to the demand for tickets.

The Mystics moved only the Fever and Sky games to the larger arena b/c of the demand to see CC and Reese (she's from the area). I don't think there's enough demand to move all their games there.

For those without the WNBA League Pass or other ways to watch WNBA games—get the WNBA app. Under the Watch section, “Quick Games” are posted where the game is distilled down to 10ish minutes. You can watch for free. Gives you highlights, lots of scoring, a few defensive standout plays, and a general feel for the game.

In the Games section, you can also easily find the games being played each day and who has broadcasting rights. During and after the game, there is an updated box score, play-by-play, and short video clips of good plays (without all of the obnoxious ESPN ads).

It’s an easy one-stop viewing app with nice resources for those who don’t want to pay for the League Pass. I figure even non-paid engagement with the app shows interest in the league.
