UConn in the NBA Nov 2025

You’re moaning and groaning, stop bringing your disdain for the 3 into every thread. It’s necessary for Steph to become at least a respectable 3pt shooter. The fact you don’t understand that leads me to believe you don’t know ball too well.
If I talked about my reasons for why you don't know ball at this point I'd be wrong right? Because I have plenty.

Gotta think that when you mention the name Cam Spencer around a Purdue fan it elicits a similar reaction as mentioning Bucky Dent to a Red Sox fan like myself.
Aside from the championship game, wasn't it Cam that hit a clutch 3 in the last 30 seconds to take out a then #1 Purdue while he was with Rutgers?

Save it, my man.
My overall thing is how annoying it is that it seems to be the only thing people on this board can talk about or understand.

People have been saying its necessary for him to become a good shooter since he's been here and haven't talked about any other facet of his game. Some even wrote him off at point guard.

Now that he's playing at a this level its still the only point of discussion. Just a lazy way to talk about basketball.

Again and again, you misrepresent people. It’s like clockwork.

It’s likely he will never be a good shooter. He needs to be a respectable shooter. Consistently shooting in the 20’s in 3s will HURT him. EVERYONE within the Spurs knows this, thus why he is allowed to keep shooting through his woes.

Please please pleaseeeeee, I beg you to simply understand this and not try to argue. It is SO simple to understand.

I understand that. But no one talks about anything but that.

They are also currently one of the best teams in the west and he's an all star candidate. It clearly wasn't all that make or break of a skill.

Of course improvement is needed but man, can this board please find SOME other aspect of the game to talk about other than lazily talking about how someone should improve taking the hardest shot in basketball.

We post about his success and progress like, every game he plays. You’re focusing on what you want to respond to. It’s on you.

Rewatched last year's NC game vs Purdue, he was a warrior on the boards and savant in toying w/ Edey and scoring/passing in the paint....
He will outlast most of far more physically gifted dudes in the league with his smarts.
I also love thinking about how now that he’s on a team with Edey there’s not doubt that he’d go to war for him. That’s just Cam’s team-first mentality.

Sort of off topic, but this just felt right to post here:

What a complete victory.

Clingan off to a solid first half with 7/6 so far. Four offensive rebounds (two tip ins, one kick out for a three, one TO). And yes that tweet a week or so ago by Nate Duncan about Clingan's O-boards not being important annoyed me.

My mind was blown when I found out cam has a brother in the NBA
i don’t think his brother even played College Basketball
He played in Europe to get a shot at the NBA
He was a superstar Lacrosse player
There is a great interview with both brothers ,its an incredible story for both that would be a great screen play.

He played for 1 year at Northwestern after 4 years of lacrosse at Loyola Maryland. Then part of a season in Germany. Then played 1 year in the NBA G League before signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the Warriors. Quite a story.

Just the kind of guy you love to have on your team but would hate if he was playing against you. 😉
Imagine him recruiting for us. The only way you’d get an offer is if he felt you loved basketball more than him.

That’s what they paid $229M for.
The guy that has come back "off"? The guy that cost them down the stretch in the last GS game and was terrible down the stretch in this one?

Option 1 is Wemby, and if you want to decoy Wemby...option 2 is Castle to the rim and you hope he makes his FT. With how that game was going a distant third was Fox.

I realize it’s very early in the season, but is there any cause for concern over Liam McNeeley’s PT?

With LaMelo Ball out, Kon Knueppel (32.4 mpg, 16.6 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 2.8 apg) seems to be taking over the Hornets’ offense. Liam, by contrast, is averaging 12.5 mpg, 4.1 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.2 apg.

I’d like to see more UConn “presence” in the NBA, besides Steph and, hopefully, DC.
