UConn in the NBA Nov 2025

I realize it’s very early in the season, but is there any cause for concern over Liam McNeeley’s PT?

With LaMelo Ball out, Kon Knueppel (32.4 mpg, 16.6 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 2.8 apg) seems to be taking over the Hornets’ offense. Liam, by contrast, is averaging 12.5 mpg, 4.1 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.2 apg.

I’d like to see more UConn “presence” in the NBA, besides Steph and, hopefully, DC.
Liam was hurt to start the season, I'm sure they were easing him back in and suffered an illness on Friday and didn't play. And his minutes were trending upwards the last few games.

Let's see how his minutes progress throughout the season. If he is still averaging less then 15 minutes per game come January, then there might be some cause for concern. I think he is just a very young player still trying to find his footing. Remember he is only 20.

I don't even think he NEEDS it to become an All-Star caliber player, but if he could just get his 3-pt shot up around 35%, he would become an absolute MONSTER. But even without a reliable 3-pt shot, he's still showing he can be an All-NBA type player.
His 3s will improve. He will be an all star for a long time.

Castle pulled at the half with a hip injury today. Obviously hope it’s just precautionary and the only long term issue will be that it’ll hurt his per game scoring a bit (4 pts).

Was just checking the box score and noticed his minutes, was wondering what happened. Thanks for the info, but sorry for the news.

Looking forward to Memphis vs Spurs tomorrow (Tuesday) on NBC/Peacock at 8. Hopefully, Steph is fine and plays in game.
