Not sure if this was posted but it’s got Armed Forces Bowl - UConn vs Navy - Dec 27
Better yet. UConn - RutgersAny way we get bid to Pin Stripe Bowl. Maybe ACC or Big 10 don’t have a team.
UConn/BC would be juicy.
That would be great for the Pinstrip Bowl.Better yet. UConn - Rutgers
One predicted lineup for Pinstripe is Pittsburgh vs. RutgersThat would be great for the Pinstrip Bowl.
Yes, that would reduce the financial loss of going. The best bowl is the one with the highest payout
Is there that much of a pay differential amongst bowler are associated with?Yes, that would reduce the financial loss of going.
My impression (and it's only an impression) is that there are big differences and that unless you are talking about an elite bowl, none of them come close to covering expenses. And as part of the deal the schools have to take an allotment of tickets which they then resell. That requirement is rarely a money maker. Is there that much of a pay differential amongst bowler are associated with?

Are these for real? The Boca Raton Bowl? The Frisco Bowl that isn’t even San Francisco? The thrill of it all. Don’t get me wrong, getting to a bowl is way better than not getting to a bowl. What’s next, the East Hartford Bowl?
I’m not sure that is really true anymore. It used to be that schools needed to buy a certain number of tickets but that isn’t the case any more. I suppose it depends on how you calculate costs, too. But I believe the bowls pay for transportation and they make a payout. The Myrtle Beach bowl was on the lower end. But nice place and a good time except for the outcome! My impression (and it's only an impression) is that there are big differences and that unless you are talking about an elite bowl, none of them come close to covering expenses.
