I'm guessing Montgomerie starts the next game.

Ding, ding, ding...

Looks like the winds have changed today and are blowing out and even a little towards left. That's good because if I recall ECU has several lefties in the lineup.

Well I feel for the kid. Think it was just nerves. Hope we can limit the damage.

Davey double drives in Sundberg. 2-1 now, with UConn still up in bottom of 1st.

Don't know how far he can go today, but Nepiarsky is doing great. No matter what happens with the rest of the tournament, Sam is either going to be a starter or one of the main relievers next season.

Love the idea of a squeeze, just get it down fair. And then the boneheaded base running by Yahn. That is a few for him this tourney.

On WHUS, they were thinking Yahn getting caught of 1st was a set play called by Penders, a variation on the dead duck play to give the runner on third a chance to score. It has worked against UConn a few times this season, but it is a play I never cared for much.

One team gets the squeeze down and one doesn't. The little things that cost games.

Nepiarsky issues a one out walk in the 7th, and he is done for the day. Quite a performance though.

Incredible job by Nepiarsky. Not sure I'd bring Ruotolo in now, but desperate times call for desperate measures. One out in the 7th.
