Think Daniello has creaky back?

Yes, Daniello's been playing with a bad back for a good chunk of the season. The WHUS guys mentioned it as being the reason why he is on the bench and Hill is at short.

This game is reminding me a lot of the first game against Tulane. Many missed opportunities. We have certainly had our chances.

One thing I've noticed is that our batted balls are a lot dinkier than Tulane's. They were able to get very solid contact against Tabakman, whereas I can't recall one hard-hit ball I've seen come off of our bats today.

Melley got terrible contact on that last one but any other guy on the team beats that out to tie the game. He's not a speed merchant.

Bases loaded you have to capitalize on that especially with your number three hitter.

.-.
Darras is getting shellacked. With our offense looks like this one is slipping away.

And there 8 & 9 hitter come up and rip a double and single and just like that have a run. We have to rely solely on walks to mount any threat. I don't know if the wildness of their pitchers just have our guys off but it seems like their swinging at pitches that are out of the strike zone and looking at pitches right down the middle.

And now comes the wildness and mistakes. Out of reach? Fat lady may be starting to sing.

Time to recruit some hitters for next year....no offense was the demise of this team. Pitching has to be perfect down the stretch for this team to have any kind of chance.

The funny thing is, our team BA is 2nd in the conference. And just from eyeballing our team stats, we have more guys hitting .280+ than we usually do. We've just been absolutely snakebitten with runners in scoring position.

I hate to say it, but boy what if Ruotolo doesn't make that wild pitch.

Who do you go with in the 9th? I say Over.

Over is hurt. Kay is coming in.

I've said it before. No matter how aggravated you get at this team, you can never totally give up on them, as they will do stuff like this. Absolutely amazing.

What the hell...I leave to eat dinner and this happens...huh?!?

Kay on for the ninth. Interesting.

Interesting? He was coming out of the pen in big time situations for a good portion of last season. Frankly, I was expecting it when they went ahead.

Eat dinner? I went out to take the dog for a walk in the woods, and came back to find out they were only down by one run. Then I heard the most wild home run call on WHUS.

Incredible win. Who would we have on the hill for Game 1 against ECU, Zapata?
