Davis got less playing this year than last and we are bringing in more defensive backs. Molette was more of a surprise for me.

Lots of the guys we've gotten have also been in the portal for only a week or so. There might also be past relationships from HS recruiting.

My take on all this is that there is obviously conversation had between the school and the player/reps at some point near the end of the season. A player will declare when they know offers are out there that they want and cash is available. Some players enter the portal without a plan, but players who end up at P4 schools have already had previous contact, IMO. However, there is plenty of current game film on someone like Bell and it's at the FBS level, not HS football like recruits. So it doesn't take as long to analyze if the kid fits or not.

He was honored on Senior Day so I would assume he already knew he was going to portal well before he formally entered the portal.

Well, it was fun while it lasted, Michigan's NIL can make our NIL look like NULL.

Dear Santa, what I really want for Christmas is a clutch wide receiver, that's all...and maybe a QB who can throw to him. Thanks Santa.

They all need to adjust. They’ll always be recruited over. Coach would face malpractice if they didn’t. NIL isn’t with the school, of so I’m told.

Wow, he is one of few experienced defenders returning, damn hate to see him leave as a Cowboy fan I was a big fan of his Dad. Hopefully, he is just looking for some more NIL love from us, and returns like Yates.
