UConn 2025 Outbound Transfers (Dec. 9th > 28th 2024 & April 16th > 25th 2025 Cycle) *No Speculation*

Interesting comment from AD Dave last night. He was discussing the portal and said a bunch of things but he specifically mentioned tampering and how there really needs to be some kind of rule in place. He said every one of our players who have been successful this year has been approached by someone from another school during the season.
Over in storrs central they get into it pretty good, long and short, every single starter is getting tampered with and money thrown at them. They said even the 3rd string guys are coming in with competition offers from other schools. It’s insane.

Win games now. Mantra in football should be don't try and play for the future. Your team is your team. Coach up, find talent.
This is the only way from here on out, there is no “program building anymore.” You need a head coach that is a better GM than anything in todays game.

Haha. If you know, you know.

So did he change his mind yet? Or did he get offers from Arkansas and Auburn?
I never said you weren't right. I said your little call out at the end of your post was dooshey. Still is.

It's fantasy football, redraft your team every year with a few keepers.

Even if we matched SEC’s NIL Robinson is transferring to Auburn or Arkansas.
I wrote that comment in response to another that referred back to the Rhett Lashley / David Pindell days... NIL might've made a difference back then is all... I already know we wouldn't have a shot with Robinson staying vs. SEC offers...

Kids a good back. Go get paid. That's the game these days. I think Edwards, Brown and Rosa can have similar production.

So we’re re-recruiting Robinson. Nice?
My guess is they are angling more for guys like Javarious Sims, Malcolm Bell, and maybe Brock Montgomery. I am sure they are not letting Robinson walk out without a fight, but also know the reality of the situation especially considering he is already taking visits to SEC schools and not playing in the bowl game. I do not have any specific information, but with how Mora tweeted about Sims, the nature of Bell being a grad student, and the limited burn Montgomery got this year (though if he is getting an offer from Kentucky, maybe it is more similar to Robinson), that feels like more of the players they are trying to re-recruit. This is not counting successful players who I am sure are considering the portal, but have not entered.

So whatever you pay Robinson you presumably should pay Edwards; and if you pay Bell don't you need to pay the other DBs commensurately. The point being, where does all this money come from, especially when our coffers are a long way away from what they are for SEC programs.

I was surprised that Brock got such limited playing time this year. He looked great in spring training camp with some great receptions. I don’t think he is coming back. He got a full ride to Kentucky

Yates is going to get legit P4 offers if I had to guess. Honestly one of the more saddening portal entries I can remember considering he was a high school recruit and spent 4 years with the program, a couple with high impact. Will be a telling recruitment, if the staff can keep him hats off to both them and Pryce, if not best of luck to him.

That would be an unfortunate loss if he goes. Coming off missing half a year from concussions, I don’t know that he’s going to attract a better spot than we could provide.
At which point you would think he comes back? Market will flesh itself out I'd presume

Mora has said that players aren't discouraged from testing the waters and he's not throwing them out because they do so. Robinson, yeah, I could see him getting substantial money from a power school. Yates, with the concussion history, I dont' see the same way.
