Shame, Brown hit it well just not far enough away from the LF. We’ll see what happens in the 9th

Bottom 9th, Kyler Fedko with an rbi single driving in Bushling with no outs. 5-2. Pitching change, as the Xavier closer comes in. UConn making some late noise, how much more is to come?

Of course, UConn baseball coming up with another 9 inning game close to the 4 hour mark.
 
Stock with a 1 out single, runners at 1st and 2nd. Pat Winkel infield single and throwing error brings in a run, 5-3, runners at the corners. Hague pinch runs for Winkel.
 
Would love to see some action and get Hague in motion to score on a single.
 
Christian Fedko sac fly makes it 5-4 with 2 out. UConn with the late thunder once again to make it at least interesting. Pitching change, Xavier ace Zwack coming in.
 
I thought we'd get to extra innings at least. No quit in this team.
 
Crawford walks, Ferrer pinch hits, Chris Jones says he has had a bad wrist this week, another reason for Langer playing. Ferrer ground out ends the game.

It's doggie play time for me. Dinner will also come up at some point, something I need considering I march on my stomach, as the saying goes.
 
They always keep it interesting that's for sure. I'm glad our bats have woken up and hoping the momentum carries over to game 2.
