This smaller, quicker lineup is doing all the damage. They look less bottled up with Stevens off the court. Hopefully, she can get integrated later on.

I think part of it is slotting her into the starting role for KLS. They are totally different players, and the starters are used to having KLS out there to spread the defense with her shooting. It's a more natural fit when she replaces Collier or Gabby.

Maybe. All I know is sub her out and Walker in and we go on like a 14-2 run basically right away. I would be interested to see her real +/- advanced stats thus far.

*I know, its super early and we are still killing teams. Just trying to pick nits and figure out what are the low-hanging fruit to improve during the season. FIguring out Stevens as a player, where she fits, how she can tighten up her game seems tops to me*
 
I don't think Z should return unless someone gets into foul trouble.
 
UConn ends the 3rd quarter on a 14-0 Run to take a 24 point lead. 62-38. UConn defense has been stifling Jordin Canada is 2 - 9 for 4 points. Jordin gets into the middle a lot but she's looking to pass the ball to her teammates. Because of that, she hasn't gone to the line so far in this game.

You know, for all her fancy moves and crowd "ooh"s and "ahh"s, Jordin Canada has done extremely little in the way of putting the ball in the basket.

The Hollywood glitz and glamour audience should be reminded about what actually matters in this game.
 
Good sportsmanship in this game. Pheesa earlier w Canada and now Jordin returning the favor w Gabby.

So I'm guessing the Q2 sluggishnesss was a result of Gabby being on the bench.

I would like to think the team wouldnt have that much of a dropoff from 1 player, but it could be.
 
Huge shout-out for KIA! Can't run, can't jump, isn't shooting (just kidding about that). But she's playing a near-perfect floor game. Steadying Crystal, boxing out, just all the small things. What a tremendous competitor.
 
Time to put Azura' and some of the Role players in the game. Give them some experience against the UCLA starters. Not saying wholesale substitution, just a couple of the freshmen.

Or just maybe the other team is pretty good?
