If Fagnano starts against Syracuse (I believe he will) it will be due to Evers being hurt. Even if Evers isn't hurt.
Finally you see the light.

Thats hard to doHad to listen to game on radio. What a great win!
Also Mike Crespino is terrible, maybe even worse than Joe D.
Agreed but let's call it what it is- JF needs to start the rest of season. If there are garbage-time "development" opportunities because HCJM believes the Evers experiment will continue into next season, then so be it. Other than that Fagnano is the man.Yeah, I am not gonna pile on NE. But for the simple reason that stretching the field vertically vs. Syracuse will be important, JF has got to start that game. And Cole better be ready in case there is an injury to Joe. That Syracuse game is gonna mean an awful lot now.
Here's to a quick recovery for Nick.
I am traveling. I checked the score and we were down going into the 4th. I logged just to check the final score just to get the misery out of the way. I really thought we were done. U-C-O-N-NAnd it was never in doubt.

As soon as Joe entered the game it was fun.I hope everyone is having fun. I am.
And you won't feel the need to take shower like you felt after the Rice game, LOLRoad win and a double digit comeback, very nice
This is the correct take on the UConn Football season. I will take this over any of the Randy Edsall 2.0 seasons, the Bob Fiasco 3rd season, really any season since the Fiesta Bowl appearance in 2010.We haven't beat anyone good yet. No way we will be anywhere near the top 25. At least we nowhere near the bottom 25 this year. That is improvement I will take.
No. They don’t. Good for us, and it’s great getting exciting wins, but none of the 7 teams we’ve beaten is even halfway decent.Great comeback win on the road. Fagnano can make throws down the field. Covers the TD spread. Show the team some respect - they deserve some Top 25 votes with their record!!
I would think UConn should be automatic for some bowl game even if it's the Frank's Auto Repair Shop bowl or something like that. But I understand Mora's skepticism seeing how UConn has been getting screwed in relation to teams that have conferences. Maybe Mora is just saying that so his team doesn't drop their intensity in playing.he's including the bowl game that Mora believes we may still not get, even being eligible.
Buzzkill.No. They don’t. Good for us, and it’s great getting exciting wins, but none of the 7 teams we’ve beaten is even halfway decent.
Or Mora puts NIL commitments before logic. If Fagnano isn’t the starter for Syracuse we are an unserious program
If. he stays with Evers, he's telling UConn players and fans, it's more about his legacy than what's best for the team.Mora seems awful set on Evers. But if he has eyes they should be telling him something.
Setting aside a personal preference for Nick Evers, but IMO his personal preference should be for the other 70+ players on the roster.I have beating the Fagnano drum all season to the point I‘m even irritating myself LOL
But it’s for the reasons that we all witnessed today.
People forget that Evers didn’t have many reps before he came to UConn. Joe just has boatloads of experience that he brings to the team.
And when we start completing passes, Defenses can’t stack the box anymore.
Please for all of us that have endured these last few years, play Joe as our starter to finish this season. This game would be an “L” if Mora‘s hand wasn’t forced by that unfortunate injury to Evers.
I sincerely hope Mora gained some perspective today that this is a Team sport, and set aside personal preferences. Put the team out there with the best chance to finish the season strong!
What was so bad about Joe D?
100%. That throw to Porter was spontaneous, and not his 1st or 2nd read.I think Joe will start the last two games. He goes through his reads better than Nick does. Joe goes first read, then checkdown then throws the ball away if there is nothing there. Nick goes first read then seems to panic if it is not there and then runs for one yard. loss. I am moving over to the JOE BANDWAGON for the rest of this year.
