He might want to consider wearing gloves especially in rainy conditions. He was wiping his hands on a lineman's towel after the drop that hit him in the numbers.

But he did make that nice catch on the ball behind him by Joe to extend the drive.
And lots of Lester Hayes stickum.

Once again, it was a very sloppy game with numerous unforced errors in the last minutes. And once again we won.

A comeback of the type we haven't seen in a while.

Great win today. Defense had a lot of big plays and a nice scoot by Edwards to get a big TD. Fagnano had 3 TD passes actually and a drop by Bell might have gone for a TD. But the D keeps us in games and is really fun to watch.

Evers hit some short passes but as usual his playbook is very limited because he only sees 1 receiver, sometimes 2 so they roll him out a lot. Anything past 10 yards is consistently late or thrown behind guys. When in the pocket he has a tendency to abandon good protection and run himself into sacks. His deep balls are mostly 50/50 floaters. But we can keep having the conversation about how coaches know best or the only choice is between winning ugly and losing. It's beating a dead horse at this point but I'm here for it. Fagnano is the better option and it's not close.

That's a good point as I saw that, too. For the next game against Syracuse he won't have to worry about that with the game indoors in the Carrier Dome or whatever the hell they call that place now.

Yeah, I am not gonna pile on NE. But for the simple reason that stretching the field vertically vs. Syracuse will be important, JF has got to start that game. And Cole better be ready in case there is an injury to Joe. That Syracuse game is gonna mean an awful lot now.

Here's to a quick recovery for Nick.

wonder where Randy Edsall is tonight. were he still HC, we may still not have 7 wins total since his 2.0 return lol
Randy Edsall 2.0 really set this football program back. I remember feeling deflated like a balloon with the needle popping it when I saw he was the big splash hire in 2016. I am not Nostradamus, if I was I would be a lot richer, but I knew that retread hire was going to fail.

I don't know if the boosters who decided to help pay for Ollie's buyout demanded Edsall be rehired, as that has been told here on the BoneYard, if that is true I thank the boosters for their generosity, but hiring Edsall was an awful price to pay for that generosity.

JF went 5/12, 2 tds, 0 picks. And it was glorious because he made UAB play defense. NE 104 yds on 15 completions; JF 70 yds on 5 completions.
A JF touchdown was ruled an incompletion and Bell dropped a short one that he might have taken to the house. Either way I'll believe my eyes rather than Coach Mora fluffing us about how great things looked in practice every week. I get why he's doing it but come on man.

Great comeback win on the road. Fagnano can make throws down the field. Covers the TD spread. Show the team some respect - they deserve some Top 25 votes with their record!!
We haven't beat anyone good yet. No way we will be anywhere near the top 25. At least we nowhere near the bottom 25 this year. That is improvement I will take.

Not just in the last minutes, Actually the end was cleaner than the beginning.

Maybe, maybe not. But the greater point is, your statement is not hyperbole, it is definitely feasible. It would not have been feasible with Evers.
Since he put up 21 in the 4th, 84 for 4 quarters was in play.

Team stayed in the game. Messy with many injuries. What a comeback. Gotta give JF credit. Doesn't mean he's the starter. Doesn't mean he isn't.
