I really like his older brother Tobias' game. He was a late bloomer out of UT but is really improving and is likely to get paid by the Magic, Knicks or someone who is looking for a good SF with potential to improve. If we do get serious with him I hope he is a late bloomer like his brother, because the size and athleticism certainly seem to be there.

Hes a poor mans Tayshaun Prince--nice fit here as he can play in and out. He might not be as a high % as Daniels--but he can help spread the floor. And he does have a nice looking J. Why couldn't his numbers improve on a better team>

I like the fact that he's a lefty... and can put the ball on the floor and take his man off the dribble...

He had a couple 10 and 11 rebound games this year. He can it would seem.

2013-14: Scored four points and grabbed five rebounds versus Boston College (11/8/13)...Scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds while going 8-8 from the free throw line versus Brown (11/13/13)...Scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds versus Marist (11/16/13)...Scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds versus Vanderbilt (11/22/13)...Recorded 22 points and nine rebounds versus La Salle (11/24/13)...Scored 10 points and was named to the Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team versus Maryland (11/25/13)...Scored 16 points and was 8-8 from the free-throw line versus Fairfield (11/29/13)...Registered 10 points versus #3 Kentucky (12/3/13)...Scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds at Rhode Island (12/5/13)...Recorded 19 points versus Yale (12/17/13)...Scored 18 points and recorded six rebounds versus Maine (12/21/13)...Scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds at #23 UMass (12/28/13)...Recorded 22 points and nine rebounds versus Seton Hall (12/31/13)...Scored 18 points at St. John's (1/16/14)...Scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds versus #20 Creighton (1/18/14)...Scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds versus Butler (1/21/14)...Registered 12 points and grabbed six rebounds versus Xavier (1/25/14)...Recorded a career-high 11 rebounds at Marquette (1/30/14)...Scored 18 points and recorded five rebounds at DePaul (2/1/14)...Scored 13 points at Georgetown (2/10/14)...Scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds versus DePaul (2/15/14)...Scored 14 points at Bulter (2/23/14)...Scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds at Seton Hall (2/28/14)...Scored six points and grabbed 10 rebounds versus St. John's (3/13/14)...Scored 17 points on 4-8 shooting from the field, including 3-4 from three-point territory, and added four rebounds versus Seton Hall (3/14/14)...Recorded 10 points, three rebounds and two assists versus #14 Creighton (3/15/14)...Scored 13 points and had three blocks versus North Carolina (3/21/14) in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament...Finished fourth on the team in scoring (11.6 ppg), third in rebounding (5.1 rpg) and second in free throw shooting (.839)...Earned the team's Coca-Cola Most Promising Prospect Award.

If Rabb lands @ Cal in the next couple days it has to help us with "Miller Time". Right experts?

?? No idea what this means

Ivan Rabb is a top 5-10 player who is a PF and considering Cal. If he chooses Cal soon the other poster is suggesting that would eliminate their need for Shonn Miller and thus would help UConn as Cal is currently trying hard with Miller.

Thanks. I didn't know cal was option, I keep reading about Michigan and Illinois.

Other than the Dad being a loudmouth from the stands, are there any other issues? If the kid had NBA game he wouldn't be in college anymore.

Not sure why so many are saying pass. Sure his dad is a pain in the arse but he just wants the best for his kids, it's worked out pretty well for Tobias. As for Tyler Harris' game a stretch 4 type game seems like a very nice addition to our team. he's 6'9 can handle and has offensive game, those type of players seem to do well here.

I'll pass on this kid. People keep calling him a stretch four even though he has never shown himself to be an efficient offensive player, and on the other end he doesn't really buy in. I watched him a lot at Providence - he's just one of those meh players who doesn't do anything particularly well.

Beggars can't be choosers. Harris is an upgrade to our front court and for 1 year, whats the real cost? I'd take him in a second and feel slightly better about next year's team, primarily our front court, than I do now.

I just can't imagine Rabb is going to choose CAL over Arizona. I love CAL, grew up 15 minutes from Berkeley and would love it but.................................I think he is AZ bound.

Arizona's the favorite, but don't rule Cal out yet. He's made big, big inroads with the local AAU programs, and has some serious bona fides as a player along with a decent resume as coach.

Arizona has a much longer history of success with their Oakland Soldier pipeline. Ill believe it when I see it. That said, I remember back in 89 (ish) saying Jason Kidd was never going to CAL. Of course, they had to pay him but their is history of an Oakland kid staying home to play for the Golden Bears.

Sorry but long and lefty and no one has said:

Johnny Time?

He actually looks very similar in so many ways but longer. I don't know I would take him as a 3/4 next year for sure, and Miller too! LOL

I would take Harris in a second, and regardless of his defense he can score. I seriously wonder if some of you saw how atrocious our offense was during stretches of every single game this year. I hope he commits on his visit tomorrow.

We have 3 scholarships to fill for next year. How can you say pass? He could be a complete failure and still be an upgrade to the walk-on we'd give the schollie to. Obviously he's not our first choice but if the last few months have taught us anything we don't always get what we want. Add him and look to add 2 more pieces.

.-.
If his dad is going to be a royal pain in the ass I'd have reservations. Maybe the kid test him to stay home this year and does his last year on his own terms.

Father issues, game fell apart late this season and he lost his starting position, we would be his third college.
Pass if we can get Miller.
«We Need a point guard and a shooter plus Miller = 3.

Well, what choice does Ollie have? He should offer him. Statistically he is an upgrade. He probably should start. With Enoch waiting in the wings, [no speculation on transfers]. If he gives us 10/5, its more than Facey, Lubin and Nolan combined gave us from that position last year.
Without Boat we can not have a black hole at PF position. Remember, at best, this kid will be 4th option on offense, but he will have to be guarded. Unlike Facey who was basically ignored. And we were not that far away from being good.

Tyler Harris is a no brainer. First off he's a very skilled 6-9 and we don't have anything like that. I think Harris is capable of 14-7-2 and closer to 45-47% as senior--that would be fantastic. Remember he did close to 12-5-2 as a sophomore. I think more than anything that basketball team was centric on Dunn and Henton this year and Harris stepped back. I can see Tyler as a good piece of nice team. Id say everything positive here. Would be great if he comes here. We have the PT and the need at 4.
