Jalen Adams as well will be 18 going on 19 this high school season. His b day is December 1995, so he will be 20! Only a third if the way into his freshman season. I don't care though, as long as they play well and rep the Husky with pride.

I've asked this before, but why is he taking a pg year if he has graduated high school and we have scholarships available??

Many recruits make a PG year their plan early on, so that they get an extra year to develop before moving on to college. Once they decide that they are going to be in the Class of 2015, say, they don't take all the core courses necessary to be eligible going into 2014, since they have an extra year to work with.

Not saying that's the case with Jalen, but that's my educated guess.

With Boat graduating and the possibility that Purvis declares for the draft if he has an outstanding season, there will be a lot more room in the backcourt for the 15-16 season. Jalen could potentially battle for a starting spot/heavy minutes then, whereas adding him in for this year gives 6 guards competing for a likely 4 rotation spots...yikes. I know the adage here is "recruits who are worried about PT lack confidence and therefore aren't good enough for us", but Brewster's rotation is less crowded and gives him more time to blossom as an in-game leader.

For the college player, older is probably better no? More maturity goes a long way in college.

Still no UConn visit for Mr. Dorsey - looking less and less likely

He will visit Oregon Sept. 5-7, Colorado Sept. 19-21, Kansas Oct. 10-12 and Arizona State Oct. 17-19

“@phillipshoops: Per Dinos Trigonis, 2015 guard Tyler Dorsey down to Az State, Cal, Colorado, Kansas, Oregon, UNLV. First 5 get officials, UNLV unofficial.”

Yesterday Jerry Meyer of 247 tweeted at me saying that we are out of the Dorsey race.

So when does he say Dorsey is going to UCLA/Pac-10 school because then it's a lock to UConn.

Need someone like him. Still a long way to go, kids change their minds, people transfer, seniors have an extra year and go elsewhere (Kromah) but this is a definite requirement.

Yeah he thinks Colorado because Kansas will fill their guard spot with Newman. But regardless confirmed we aren't in the race anymore.

Confirmed UConn was out, or he thinks UConn is out? Those are two vastly different things.

Top tos guy said Dorsey has not committed but cal leads

Selden, Oubre, Newman. What a waste.

At least let Newman commit there first before trashing him. These crystal guys are given way too much credit.

We're out with Newman and Dorsey.

I do not think we're going to get a visit from Eubanks, either.

Scared off by the competition, no doubt.

Boy 2016 has got to be a big recruiting year for us. I'm finally siding with those of you who think we need a closer on staff. And maybe some online self study courses.

Closer and the conference! I agree I thought people were over evaluating the situation and now, I'm not so sure.

I wish we hired the Ast from zona. He has great ny and nj connections
