I'd rather hear we can somehow get back involved with Bamba given the open front court
Keep dreaming

Well at the very least they would have had to put a $500 deposit down by April 30 on whatever schools they were still deciding on. Should we ask Waters for a $500 deposit?
No worries. Ant will stay up from now until Wednesday like he waited for Zionns post. It's not 20 minutes. But it's something at least.

I feel like my biggest pet-peeve in the history of life is how sports are portrayed on tv shows/movies. I can virtually guarantee that prior to this moment the opposing team forgot how to dribble for 2 straight minutes and Will Smith for that time became the world's most dominant basketball player. It annoys me so much. I know in a show like this it is done on purpose, but my wife and I just got sucked into watching 13 Reasons Why and the "star" basketball player had a jump shot that looked like my grandmother's long after osteoporosis set in. But yet, I'm supposed to believe he is this jock of jocks... I should also add that i'm three deep into a double IPA and feeling salty. Carry on.
By default or not, I Love It!I have a bettee feeling about this. We might win by default...
Getting a commitment from a top 40 talent at PG does not exclude us from getting a "legitimate 3, 4, and even a 5."I'm sorry but this guy who really doesn't want to come and doesn't have a spot next year shouldn't be the cause of so much angst.
Sometimes additions even of good players can hurt the team more than help.
I would rather get a commitment from a 2018 PG and and a legimate 3 ,4 , and even a 5 for 2017. Teams win collections of talented players don't .

WKU fan here. Just wanted to give you guys some insight from our side.
You can pretty much rule us out in the race for Waters. I will be extremely shocked if he signs here as it appears we have backed off tremendously. Tremont was all set and ready to visit, but WKU backed off. Why you may ask? Because his dad is highly involved in this whole process and has been reminiscent of a Lavar Ball light. Nowhere close to Ball level, but a pain none the less. There is a reason Georgetown went in a different direction instead of continuing to pursue him after Ewing met with him too.
Also just for the people belittling WKU a bit. He may not have started at WKU in all honesty and that is not to knock his talent. I don't think he has any illusions the difficulty a 5"10" guard has to make the NBA. But with the recruiting class we have incoming, plus guys who sat out this last year from transfer, we have a decent roster. Former 4* PG Lamonte Bearden who led Buffalo to 2 straight MAC titles and NCAA tournament appearances as a freshman and sophomore is slated to be our starting PG this season. He projects to go pro after this season. Add in #42 ranked player in class of 2017 in SG Josh Anderson, #3 Juco player in the nation in SG Jordan Brangers, with KY Mr Basketball and 3* combo guard Hollingsworth and our back court should be pretty good. Waters would have certainly added to that no question...Bearden likely could have slotted over to 2 guard and Brangers could have come off the bench. But we are not devoid of talent down here in Bowling Green. That is without even mentioning our front court.
Anyways, just letting you guys know that if you truly are in on Waters. You may just be in 2 horse race with Creighton now.

Nope. Sometimes when you win, you really lose, and sometimes when you lose, you really win, and sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic mechanism, from which one extracts what one needs.A win is a win is a win is a win.
I think tremont is a special case tho. He was pretty much luke warm on anybody not named duke, kentucky, or kansasAs I've said before -- I'll take it, but why does it have to come to this? Why are these talented kids lukewarm at best about UConn?
Whether we land Waters or not -- and it would be a huge get, don't get me wrong -- that's still an issue going forward.

Notice how lukewarm and doubtful you (and a ton of others) are about this team moving forward. And that's from people who would give anything to play for UConn. That perception is gonna be far worse for people who feel way less of a connection to the programAs I've said before -- I'll take it, but why does it have to come to this? Why are these talented kids lukewarm at best about UConn?
