Are you taking back a letter?Strangely, one of the kids on the team said he was still considering Georgetown. Don't know what to think of that. Grain of salt I guess.

If he was going to G'Town i feel like he's be there already.Which kid?

Vital had a very solid freshman season and got much better as the season went on.
Player A: FG%: 39.6%, 3P: 39%, 1.6 A/To
Player B: FG%: 38.0%, 3P: 28%, 2.0 A/To
Player A is Vital and Player B is JA. I know JA was playing hurt, but it was not stretch to say that Vital outplayed Adams in conference play and you say with no evidence that he "provides zero in the field of legitimate offensive returns". Well, you "provide zero in the field of" intelligent posts. We are all frustrated with this offseason but it's ironic that the one who calls everyone else out for acting like a high school girl...is the one complaining and venting like a spoiled child without any facts.
I must have watched a different season than you guys did... Vital provides zero in the field of legitimate offensive returns, he adds some intangibles but that's about it. I think you are romanticizing him since he's the only one who stayed.
Having said that. You aren't seeing my point as far as Waters. Why would he come? I just don't see it happening. You can get your hopes up, but mine are low as can be. Good luck with all that. This place has gone down the tubes ever since November, what a bunch of grown men acting like high school girls.
I dont think he was implying CV was better than Jalen. He was just using those numbers to combat the idea that CV provided little value on offenseI'm neither praising nor bashing Vital. But it is misleading to compare offensive stats for the offensive player who draws the double team, and the offensive player who is left open when the double team is drawn. When we won the championship in '14 Giffey was over 45% in 3 point shooting most of the year. That didn't necessarily mean he was a better shooter than Bazz or Boat. They took different types of shots.
I'm right there with you. I understand wanting to find the best fit. I get that. At this point, he's made his visits. Heard all the pitches. How long do you really need to decide? I guess I'm just wired differently. I'd want to make up my mind ASAP so I can focus on my freshman yr.The "recruiting clock" that these kids operate under mystifies me. As a top 40 player, this kid would be a great get. I am trying to understand the decision-making process he is going through. I know he wants minutes. All kids of that ranking want minutes. Beyond that, is he hoping that one of the big boys come through with a late offer? To that end, is Duke, Kansas, or some other major conference school interested to the point of maybe taking him as a contingency? Is he actually still considering Georgetown? I don't know how long a kid like this waits or what makes him wait.

My pure guess is that he got released from Georgetown thinking a slot at an elite (KU/Duke/UK) school might open up due to transfers/draft entries. This is a kid who had a Kentucky hat on the table when he announced he was going to Georgetown. I still don't know if Kentucky even offered, I don't follow recruiting until forced to this spring. So he's running out the clock with a guaranteed place to land at Gtown or UConn, but still hoping for better. Either that, or no one but Western Kentucky will promise him a starter's job.Exactly. He knows who UConn has on its roster. He knows his own abilities. I would assume that HCKO has explained to him his vision of next year's team and how he fits into what they are trying to accomplish. I tend to think he is waiting for an opportunity that may not come.
If you are Waters and you go to WKU, you go there because you want to guarantee that there is no one better than you on the team. How do you look at your teammates if you're starting over someone better than you because of a promise?

And I think we should have taken DeAndre Ayton over Cobb. They have a top 10 5* player coming in Mitchell Robinson
Maybe they want to play together. Can certainly have a good season. But not sure how that makes him a better player vs. playing with JA, AG and CV everyday
But who knows
I'd rather hear we can somehow get back involved with Bamba given the open front court
Well at the very least they would have had to put a $500 deposit down by April 30 on whatever schools they were still deciding on. Should we ask Waters for a $500 deposit? There's no time pressure on the kid - if he decides today, tomorrow or in a month, what's the difference?
This will shock the world, but there are likely millions of kids who have seen the brochures, taken the visits and read the reviews and they still haven't decided which college they will attend in September.

UConn is only $300, just did it for my daughter.Well at the very least they would have had to put a $500 deposit down by April 30 on whatever schools they were still deciding on. Should we ask Waters for a $500 deposit?
As soon as they're enrolled in classes. Last summer the men had their guys up for Summer Session 1, starting June 1So with high school almost ending...when is the earliest a player can get on campus and start working with teammates? Coaches?
I get that he isn't under the gun here. My post was just trying to get a handle on what type of issues he is sorting through while deciding. My feeling is that he is waiting to see if any more options materialize. He may have to "settle" for a 4 time National Champion. I can live with that. I am pretty sure I wasn't my wife's first choice.
