Staff is expecting him to play right away. I don't think he'll start. You will, he is 6-6 220, will be 19 this summer and has an old man's style of game. Will be an impact player next year.

Is he a PG? Scouting services list him as a SF. He does seem to have facilitating skills and good basketball IQ so maybe the staff thinks he can be a PG.
It’s nothing against Furphy, but after the struggles freshmen consistently have this year I don’t think it’s realistic to think the lowest ranked guy of this current group will be an impact player. You will, he is 6-6 220, will be 19 this summer and has an old man's style of game. No idea if there's going to be UConn interest here, but this is a guy I'd love to have as a 6th man/backup PG next year. Would be some nice insurance for what could be a very young bench group

Who would touch this guy
Or Kansas StSome dumb program with too much money. Feels like a great fit for Texas
You're confusing BB with the Whalers. This board has been depressing take after depressing take when it comes to this stuff for the past dozen years. Year after year the same nonsense about us being left behind. We got a bit of a reprieve from it this past year in the spring summer because we destroyed everyone in a dozen straight tournament games but the posters are back at it again.
There's a portion of this board that won't he satisfied unless we win every single national championship and if there's anything up in the air they think the roof is going to cave in on them.
Rumor is Providence has reached out. GTown too. Some dumb program with too much money. Feels like a great fit for Texas
Yeah my gut is he'll be able to get the opportunity to start somewhere, so my hopes aren't high. But he's from the same town as me so I'll hold out hopeThis is a no brainer if he'd come off the bench, but he could start at a Providence or Cuse level program easily.
Good they deserve him lolRumor is Providence has reached out. GTown too.
Without naming names I would not count on all the players on the above list(s) being members of next year’s team. The last time I laid out a depth chart it was
Solo
Mullins
Ross
Stew
Reed
Nowell
Adams
Abraham
Reibe
With the idea Nowell would get a lot of time as a ballhandler in a Shabazz moving Kemba off ball kind of way with Solo.
Obviously this may not be close to our roster next year. But wouldn’t mind the portal add having a similar role.
