Stirtz is going pro at this rate.
Wild the kid is this good 1 year away from playing D2 basketball.

The crazy thing is he was a two time, second team all conference at NW Missouri (googled during the game). How is it possible that a DII conference had enough players better than him to keep him off the first team twice?Wild the kid is this good 1 year away from playing D2 basketball.
I think looking at his stats he was better than that, but he was just lower on the team pecking order due to seniority. As a freshman he averaged 13, 4, 3.5 on 60% shooting and 44% from 3 with a >2:1 A:TO ratio. The crazy thing is he was a two time, second team all conference at NW Missouri (googled during the game). I guess it shows some players go under the radar or they develop lateWild the kid is this good 1 year away from playing D2 basketball.
Thank you.No comment.
New video on Stirtz. I really (really, really) like his game. I think out pitch about having a cutting, NBA style offense should be strong. I know he traveled with his coach before, but who knows. I think we have a better pitch (other than $) than SJU. We can send this kid to the league.
Cooley and Georgetown.
He got a million in nil from Providence and was riding the Kim English momentum. Why wouldn't he have gone with Cooley this season if it's going to be Georgetown? Georgetown is a much better school than Providence.
"Kim English momentum" is a phrase that will not age wellHe got a million in nil from Providence and was riding the Kim English momentum.
Keep in mind, the PC fan base thought Keno Davis was going to take over New England basketball."Kim English momentum" is a phrase that will not age well
It's funny that he was viewed even last summer. People—on this board—loved him as a coach."Kim English momentum" is a phrase that will not age well
St. John's selling point. You can live in NYC for a year, play for one of the best coaches ever, and play for the home team at the best basketball arena in the world. UConn's selling point you can live for one season on a great "country" campus, play for one of the best coaches ever, play for the best college hoops program in the country, and play for the home team at the best basketball arena in the world. Also nicer facilities which no one brings up. St Johns is a dump. Maybe a kid who grew up in the Midwest doesn't want to live in Jamaica Queens.
He is not leaving a coach he followed from D2 to D1..i really doubt he enters the portal.Stirtz fits UConn like a glove. They need him
St Johns is a commuter school with 75% of its students not living on campus. Campus life is dull AND you are not in what everyone thinks is NYC, you are in Queens. If you don't have a car it is either a 1 hour subway or 1 hour bus ride to MSG. By cab its 20 minutes but it costs $70. You can always go the other way but Nassau and Suffolk County?St. John's selling point. Both great selling points, ours is better.

Well his coach is leaving, so even if that's the case he's going to enter the portalHe is not leaving a coach he followed from D2 to D1..i really doubt he enters the portal.
Please stop. You know nothing about the kid or what he wants.Personally, I believe the only way this kid leaves Drake is if his coach lands a bigger gig and takes him with him.
That said, if this kid were to tansfer, Jamaica Queens is among the last places he would feel comfortable in as it is as far removed from Liberty Missouri as Yellowknife is from Miami.
Have you ever spent any real time in Queens (or any of the other outer boroughs)? Please stop. You know nothing about the kid or what he wants.
Why not? Last year he probably didn't have many, if any, choices of D1 offers besides the one to follow his coach. Now he's going to have lots of choices. He's probably got much bigger goals ($, NBA) now than he had last year at this time.He is not leaving a coach he followed from D2 to D1..i really doubt he enters the portal.

What I'm picturing with you right now is an article I read about Billy Bob Thornton more than 30 years ago when he and a buddy decided to visit New York City when they were on break from college. (To paraphrase) He said they had been to Little Rock plenty of times and had even been to Dallas once so how big could New York be. Then he said they were so terrified once they got there they didn't leave the hotel until it was time to head back to Arkansas (where they were from).
Please stop. You know nothing about the kid or what he wants.
When someone dangles a 7 figure NIL bag in front of him, he'll enter the portal. To think he wouldn't entertain out of loyalty to the current coach is ridiculously short sighted. Separately, why wouldn't he at least entertain a program where he could actually win a NC?Why not? Last year he probably didn't have many, if any, choices of D1 offers besides the one to follow his coach. Now he's going to have lots of choices. He's probably got much bigger goals ($, NBA) now than he had last year at this time.
Jackson heights is awesome. I haven’t spent much time in Jamaica so I can’t comment but players don’t care. They choose where they are going for the basketball and the NIL and that’s it.Yes it is, but beyond that he is not wrong.
And it's not like they're in Forest Hills, or even Astoria. Jamaica Queens is Jackson Heights' uglier sister.
