Transfer Portal Starting to Load

Not sure why some of you are insisting that the PG are looking for is a scorer? We've got plenty of firepower already we just need a defensive stopper like Castle IMO and skills in passing/floor generalship. I also believe we'll see improvements from Solo on defense next season.
Yes, we need ball-handler who can handle physical pressure and play tough defense. Scoring would be gravy as would be height>6’2” IMHO.
We already have three talented big guards coming in

The trope is just nonsense.

There are years of evidence that players get better. Isaiah Whaley had no idea how to play basketball before Hurley.
This is inaccurate he always looked like he could play and improved from someone who wasn’t very good when he arrived. And if we’re honest if we look back at when his minutes increased it wasn’t Dan as much as being forced to play him more due to injuries. Check it out, he always had potential.

If AK, Solo, Mullins (without know Mullins ability as a defender as a freshmen) are where we start 1-4 defensively, that is not going to be be the core of a good defensive unit. Our PG will have to then be great offensively & defensively to offset some of it - good luck finding that in the portal.
Same goes for Stew, Mullins, and Solo all starting. That’s why I think we need a transfer PG and a transfer Forward that can start alongside either Stew or Mullins depending on who wins the battle for the last starting spot during training camp.

Transfer / Ball / Mullins / Transfer / Reed
Or
Transfer / Ball / Transfer / Stew / Reed

(I’d put my money on Mullins)

Not sure if he’s a PG but height and assist numbers look good to me, along with a decent 3 percentage

Dan Hurley and UConn will be staying FAR FAR away from this kid

He was one of the guys dismissed from New Mexico State for hazing/sexually assaulting a teammate. Only reason he's not in jail is he took a plea deal and testified against the other 2 teammates
Well that's a disturbing story. The New Mexico State locker room sounds like Chino or Pelican Bay instead of a college basketball locker room.

Is Reibe a 5 or a 4? Sounds like he’s only a 5 because he’s tall.

Honestly only watched a few international games of his. He played like Ben Gold if Ben Gold wasn’t just flashes of being good. So maybe like Alex Condon? I expect he will take some time to adjust but that’s the type of game I’d expect from him as a Sophomore.

Condon does play the four for UF, Gold could play the four for MU IMO.

Oh, ok

Kent is obviously just a guesser, but getting into a bidding war with the BodyArmor guy feels like a losing proposition.
And vitamin water. St. John’s has unlimited NIL. Wish we had a billionaire fanboy

UConn attracts a certain type of kid. We never won the most money battle. It’s ok.

Wild the kid is this good 1 year away from playing D2 basketball.
The crazy thing is he was a two time, second team all conference at NW Missouri (googled during the game). How is it possible that a DII conference had enough players better than him to keep him off the first team twice?

I think looking at his stats he was better than that, but he was just lower on the team pecking order due to seniority. As a freshman he averaged 13, 4, 3.5 on 60% shooting and 44% from 3 with a >2:1 A:TO ratio.

He was a little colder from 3 as a sophomore.
