Exactly. Playing time, money, player development, & a chance of actually winning. That in itself makes UConn a legit destination for a portal player. It’s not about targeting the most “coveted” player, it’s about getting the right one. I look at someone like Sion James as an example & how Duke nailed that evaluation. He wasn’t the top guy, but they found what they needed and it’s worked out huge for them. Imagine if he was on UConn right now.

Where did you see Oswin has put his name in the portal? If UConn does take him, where do you put him and how much playing time does he get with Reed Jr and Reibe?

Not sure why some of you are insisting that the PG are looking for is a scorer? We've got plenty of firepower already we just need a defensive stopper like Castle IMO and skills in passing/floor generalship. I also believe we'll see improvements from Solo on defense next season.

I have not seen anything to indicate Oswin entered the portal the last time I did a simple Google search or looked at Friar Talk. Maybe superjohn saw this somewhere and I have missed it, although I didn't put that much effort into searching for this.

I fully agree with you battling Reed Jr. in practice would be great for his development, but where would Oswin's playing time come from with Reibe arriving next season? Oswin is not transferring to a place where he is getting paltry minutes. The only way he gets substantial minutes, however many minutes you or other define that, is if he plays alongside Reibe or Reed Jr.

Injuries aside, not sure if a competitive person who is a starter will acclimate but $ talks.

Lamb’s season was disappointing because the team was. Lamb himself improved a ton from his freshman to his sophomore season.

We are not an outlier in not developing lottery picks over 3-4 years. Outside of a few edge cases, no one is doing it. The folks with that level of talent are leaving after a year or two and developing in the NBA.

Is Iowa’s Josh Dix a possibility? Seems tall and might play point? Never watched Iowa just saw his highlights. pretty solid from deep as well over 40%.
