Like I said before, ask said B1G schools about their recruiting success. After all, the defending national champ is from the beloved American Athletic Conference.

Not a single player in our lineup next year is a 5 star recruit, yet all of them will potentially, I repeat, potentially be drafted to the association.

If we get Traci Carter in a UConn jersey, or anyone that our staff recruits for that matter, they are automatically a potential draft pick. That is what UConn does, and has been doing for the past 25 years.

According to that guy, no NBA team is interested in a 6-11 athletic specimen who averages double figures, is one of the top shot blockers in the country, and has a 7-6 wing span. Oh and he just started playing basketball not too long ago....Oh and he hits his free throws....Oh and he's only a sophomore

I want carter the most of hardnett (basket looks like 12' tall in his vids) and Nych smith. Carter looks like high major athlete and what we need in a jet for a ball handler.

I'm happy the staff is casting a wide net maybe a 5th year guy or a coach leaves and they can pounce in the spring. Hopefully they are working with admission as several 5th year guys got rejected/told no thanks because grades not high enough last year.

You actually think AB is a lock to get drafted? What merits that? He is blocking shots against lower tier programs for the most part. When he goes against legit bigs like at duke or Kentucky last year he looks overmatched. His body isn't nba ready and he is already 21. He is a nice college player but not sure his talent translates to the next level. He will have to develop a lot next year to really be considered a 1st round pick. He doent have hasheem thabeets extra 4 inches and girth to make up for his lack of skills. I love AB and he is very important to us at the college level. I think we over estimate our own talent. We only have 2 bonafide prospects on this team right now and one is a borderline 2nd rounder, RB. AB is a fringe nba pick right now.

Kelis Fisher isn't even an nbdl draft prospect right now.

Roscoe went undrafted, but was signed by the Lakers where he was eventually released and signed by the LA Defenders. He has played well in the D-league and was added to the D-league all star team as an alternate. I think he is averaging 15 and 15 numbers, so he is doing pretty well. Oh and fun fact I believe our old friend Ater Majok is on the same team.

I never said a team with NBA potential has to be great in college. But we are not close to even good. We are one game above .500 in a dump of a conference. Big difference.

Second we are not close to being loaded with NBA potential, nor are we close to the 2012 team, which oh by the way happened to play in a league called THE BIG EAST. maybe you've heard of it. I'll remind you that we play in the American and have lose to Yale and Houston and barely beat teams like tulane at home.

Finally brimah isn't close to drummond. purvis isn't in the same Galaxy as lamb. Boat isn't bazz although he is better than soph bazz. Omar Nolan and the rest of the crew aren't as good as that supporting class. facey isn't close to Oriakhi. That team definitely had much better overall talent and played in a conference that had probably 8 or 9 teams better than any team in this one.

And that team wasn't even loaded with NBA talent. Drummond was an extremely raw physical beast who was a freshman. He is the definition of being drafted based on potential and not finished product. Who on this team meets that criteria?

Lamb was a very good prospect too. ao we had two NBA guys. One of which was barely 18 and insanely raw and the other one was riding he bench halfway through his freshman year.

The NBA drafts 6'11 270 pound beasts who can jump out of the building no matter how raw they are. They also draft 6'5 shooting guards with 7'2 wingspans who can dribble and shoot. They don't draft 6'2 shooting guards with short arms who step out of bounds three times a game/

2012 went 20-12 and got an 8 seed during the height of the big east. We're not even on the next four out while playing in the American. Exactly the same scenario as his year. You got me good.e

Holy cow, Shabazz Napier was absolutely ripped apart. The idea that Giffey would contribute anything to this team was laughed at. Daniels? if Purvis is considered somewhere between bust and mediocre, Daniels was a transfer whose next stop was Occidental.

Dude get off your high horse. How can you compare JV when Freshman couldn't leave for the draft and also he had a lot more strength than AB. I'm not saying AB can't get there but if he left today he wouldn't get drafted until late in the second if at all. Now if he works on his weaknesses I can see him going into the late first round. There are a lot of skilled big men outside of UCONN who never get drafted. I hope AB can work hard this off season but he isn't the 100% lock that DHAM will be.

Jake did things which Brimah hasn't, may never, immediately. Tough, passed that ball, picks were tremendous, defense on the block really good - all led to a nice NBA career. Does Brimah show signs of being really good, yeah - signs. But for now I don't have any problem saying Jake may turn out to be a better pro unless he does learn the things that make a difference.

They may be interested but they will draft him on HOPE and potential because he couldnt play a second in the NBA as we speak. But the NBA does draft in a strange way so you never know. But this kid needs 2 more years just to be sure he doesn't get lost in the NBA shuffle.

Exactly. Eventually he will. He may start day 1 somewhere else. I guess I am anticipating a board meltdown when Ollie "gets beat out" again by a lesser school. The fact is, for Traci Carter, there are better fits elsewhere.
