Traci Carter (Committed to Marquette)

I'd be pretty happy with Brown/Carter, but I wouldn't mind Mo Wagner, that big German dude playing with Niels on AB. I watched some videos of him and he showed some really nice skills, running the floor like a champ and able to attack off the drib le from the midrange and farther.

sorry about the fake instagram info. figured since Samir Doughty (St John's commit) and a couple other local philly players followed it meant it was a legit.

Has there been anything more to indicate if he is seriously considering coming to the U.S.?

Per Zagsblog, Carter sets up two officials............Xavier and Marquette.....Still undecided on the final 3.

Apparently he likes playing in gyms that seat 5000 fans, even though they only get 2,000 to go to games. He'd fit in perfect in the AAC.

LOL uhhh any reason why? Who do YOU have lined up for us at guard next year? Jesus.

Apparently we should cut out on recruiting players because their final lists aren't full of programs that we fans approve of...SMH.

Spelled Louisville wrong so they're out. Gave Husky all caps so its a done deal he's coming here.
He's just trying to get a job in the Cuse AD department down the road!

Adams
Purvis
Hamilton
Facey
Brimah

Scary thing about next year is that's a lineup with 5 potential NBA draftees, and we won't be starting a single senior. the future is pretty bright for us even though people on here will disagree

Facey is 6'8 and thin framed. Unless he learns how to play the 3 effectively (don't hold your breath), he isn't getting drafted.

Rodney Purvis is 6'4 with a 6'4 wingspan, and he can't dribble or pass, making him an undersized SG. He doesn't have good instincts or IQ, and struggles from the line. He likely won't get drafted either.

Both can be very valuable college players by the time they graduate, but realistically only 3 of those 5 get drafted.

His official for Xavier is on 2/28 and Marquette is on 3/7. Think that eliminates the possibility of him coming to UConn for any of the remaining home games. If he does schedule for UConn, maybe it will be during the AAC tourney.

There are 3 potential draftees on that list.

Huh maybe 3 in Adams, Hamilton and Brimah. Brimah is a stretch and Adams we haven't seen play. DHAM I will give you for sure. Facey never and Purvis better transform into a whole different player(dribbling, shooting release and bball IQ) if he wants to have a chance of sniffing the NBA draft.

Even if it is 3 potential draft picks, when really it will be 5 when all is said and done....you know how many fan bases would love to see just 1 player get drafted? Ask B1G schools like Northwestern, Minnesota, Penn State and Nebraska how promising their teams look on a year to year basis. Our fanbase is so spoiled

Not spoiled; More like 4 en TITLED!

3 guaranteed. If you think Facey and Purvis are draft able or even are showing that trajectory, you may have a very poor understanding of the game.

Yes, we have higher expectations than the four lousy basketball programs you just listed. What is your point exactly?

Why should we be compared to NW, Minn, Penn State and Nebraska...UConn is a basketball powerhouse. Those schools value football substantially more than basketball. Basically you are saying that we should accept mediocrity? Because that is not going to happen.

My point is we cry over not getting 5 star recruits. This hasn't negatively impacted our program and it never will.

We cry about our conference- when at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. If you think we're not getting recruits because of our conference, well that's just not true. Like I said before, ask said B1G schools about their recruiting success. After all, the defending national champ is from the beloved American Athletic Conference.

Not a single player in our lineup next year is a 5 star recruit, yet all of them will potentially, I repeat, potentially be drafted to the association.

If we get Traci Carter in a UConn jersey, or anyone that our staff recruits for that matter, they are automatically a potential draft pick. That is what UConn does, and has been doing for the past 25 years.

I agree with the notion that we (as a rule) have to have higher standards than 95+% of the rest of college basketball. But MikeSol has a point -- the freaking out over D. Stone, his buddy, and D. Jones to a lesser extent is simply p*n*s envy. There is a subset of this fanbase that only cares about racking up burger boys and one-and-done lotto picks à la Kentucky, and could care less about anything else. I would much rather beat these schools on the court than on the recruit ranking websites.
