Facey is 6'8 and thin framed. Unless he learns how to play the 3 effectively (don't hold your breath), he isn't getting drafted.

Rodney Purvis is 6'4 with a 6'4 wingspan, and he can't dribble or pass, making him an undersized SG. He doesn't have good instincts or IQ, and struggles from the line. He likely won't get drafted either.

Both can be very valuable college players by the time they graduate, but realistically only 3 of those 5 get drafted.

His official for Xavier is on 2/28 and Marquette is on 3/7. Think that eliminates the possibility of him coming to UConn for any of the remaining home games. If he does schedule for UConn, maybe it will be during the AAC tourney.

Why should we be compared to NW, Minn, Penn State and Nebraska...UConn is a basketball powerhouse. Those schools value football substantially more than basketball. Basically you are saying that we should accept mediocrity? Because that is not going to happen.

I agree with the notion that we (as a rule) have to have higher standards than 95+% of the rest of college basketball. But MikeSol has a point -- the freaking out over D. Stone, his buddy, and D. Jones to a lesser extent is simply p*n*s envy. There is a subset of this fanbase that only cares about racking up burger boys and one-and-done lotto picks à la Kentucky, and could care less about anything else. I would much rather beat these schools on the court than on the recruit ranking websites.

When he goes against legit bigs like at duke or Kentucky last year he looks overmatched. His body isn't nba ready and he is already 21. He is a nice college player but not sure his talent translates to the next level. He will have to develop a lot next year to really be considered a 1st round pick. He doent have hasheem thabeets extra 4 inches and girth to make up for his lack of skills. I love AB and he is very important to us at the college level. I think we over estimate our own talent. We only have 2 bonafide prospects on this team right now and one is a borderline 2nd rounder, RB. AB is a fringe nba pick right now.

Kelis Fisher isn't even an nbdl draft prospect right now.

Roscoe went undrafted, but was signed by the Lakers where he was eventually released and signed by the LA Defenders. He has played well in the D-league and was added to the D-league all star team as an alternate. I think he is averaging 15 and 15 numbers, so he is doing pretty well. Oh and fun fact I believe our old friend Ater Majok is on the same team.

Jake Voskhul was the 4th pick in the 2nd round after his senior year, and Brimah is a better prospect than he was, hell yes I expect him to be drafted. I never said a team with NBA potential has to be great in college. But we are not close to even good. We are one game above .500 in a dump of a conference. Big difference.

Second we are not close to being loaded with NBA potential, nor are we close to the 2012 team, which oh by the way happened to play in a league called THE BIG EAST. maybe you've heard of it. I'll remind you that we play in the American and have lose to Yale and Houston and barely beat teams like tulane at home.

Finally brimah isn't close to drummond. purvis isn't in the same Galaxy as lamb. Boat isn't bazz although he is better than soph bazz. Omar Nolan and the rest of the crew aren't as good as that supporting class. facey isn't close to Oriakhi. That team definitely had much better overall talent and played in a conference that had probably 8 or 9 teams better than any team in this one.

And that team wasn't even loaded with NBA talent. Drummond was an extremely raw physical beast who was a freshman. He is the definition of being drafted based on potential and not finished product. Who on this team meets that criteria?

Lamb was a very good prospect too. ao we had two NBA guys. One of which was barely 18 and insanely raw and the other one was riding he bench halfway through his freshman year.

The NBA drafts 6'11 270 pound beasts who can jump out of the building no matter how raw they are. They also draft 6'5 shooting guards with 7'2 wingspans who can dribble and shoot. They don't draft 6'2 shooting guards with short arms who step out of bounds three times a game/

2012 went 20-12 and got an 8 seed during the height of the big east. We're not even on the next four out while playing in the American. Exactly the same scenario as his year. You got me good.e
