Tomorrow’s AP Ranking

Should be #4, will be #6.

Duke's loss at UNC will be treated much more generously than our loss at St. John's, even though those teams are about evenly matched. St. John's s__tting the bed OOC will haunt us like I said 2 months ago.

Before these rankings come out i realize I really only want a 1-3 seed in the tourney. AP position dont matter to me as long as we start to see a team that can go toe to toe with the top 5 teams in the country. This is the time of year where that starts to happen.

I'd be surprised if we drop lower than 5, and my guess is 4. There was a huge gap between Duke and Illinois at 4 and 5 and they both lost as well. I expect UConn, Duke, Iowa State to be 3,4,5 and all within about 15-20 points of each other in some order

For a reference, F68 has UConn at 4. Borges moved Houston to 3, kept Duke at 4 and UConn to 5 based on the eye test with Duke.

.-.
St. John's is definitely moving up, probably a few spots. That was their A game right there and they beat us fair and square. Cannot wait until the 25th in Hartford so we can put some revenge on them.

I think #7 or #8 would be about where belong. St John's is not a very good team, but upsets do happen. Also, the strength (or lack of strength) of the Big East Conference as a whole will result in UConn dropping down more in the rankings which is fair.
St. John’s is good. They should be # 16 or 17.

They’re very good. Their FC is top 10. Mitchell is a one of a kind switch army knife.

If they can get Sellers, Darling and Jackson figuring it out, they’re formidable.
