There's always someone that gets left behind if a coach leaves. Not saying he'd take it, but he wants the job, this won't hold him backDon’t forget the Karaban effect. He likely came back for his last year because of Hurley and the chance to win another championship. I don’t think Hurley would make this move now.
False. It was one of the reasons he stayed last time. There's always someone that gets left behind if a coach leaves. Not saying he'd take it, but he wants the job, this won't hold him back
What happened last time doesn't mean it couldn't happen this time, unless your position is that he'll never leave someone behind.False. It was one of the reasons he stayed last time.
Going down the only road we've ever knownHere we go again?
Hope they've been talking to Malone since Denver canned him. He makes a lot of sense. You don’t move on from Thibideau to hand the reins to a college coach with no NBA experience. Danny is a great coach but the Knicks just made the conf finals. You only make this move if you feel someone else can win the whole thing. Malone is the guy.
Alex Karaban isn't just someone bro. What happened last time doesn't mean it couldn't happen this time, unless your position is that he'll never leave someone behind.
I think Andrea rates jobs by proximity to North NJ. LA? Terrible. The Knicks? We have reason to be concerned.I think Danny has to worry about Queen Andrea more. She wasn’t too happy last year this time.
Personally I think he would have the same criteria as Jay Wright, only a franchise in the DC to Boston metroplex and no consideration for a franchise that is setup for failure.I've always felt that if Hurley was gonna jump to the NBA he would prefer to take over more of a re-building organization where he can wipe the slate clean and steadily build his own program over time like he has everywhere else. I'm also not sure he wants to jump into the Knicks circus where he's the leading topic on First Take every other day. Brooklyn might be a better one to watch if that opens up.
Leaping Luke over Kimani would be a wild move.I think Andrea rates jobs by proximity to North NJ. LA? Terrible. The Knicks? We have reason to be concerned.
If he's gone I think they give Luke the job in Storrs.
Unfortunately for us,if it came down to it the Knick job would be one that she would be in favor of him taking.I think Danny has to worry about Queen Andrea more. She wasn’t too happy last year this time.
Luke is much, much more valuable and I think much more highly regarded.Leaping Luke over Kimani would be a wild move.
Hurley is an elite level coach and a great coach that is self-aware and intelligent and would realize he has to change some behavioral habits and how he runs his practices if he would make the jump to the NBA. Thibs was known for running his players into the ground in practice and Hurley's practices are even more demanding than Thibs' practices.I don't think the Hurleys (Andrea and Dan) go now. Maybe the next time the Knicks job opens up. It's on the heels of them realizing the NBA isn't a good match for Dan, nor their lifestyle here in CT... The NBA road warriorship sort of season isn't fun.
