Georgetown and Providence really killing the Big East so far this year. Was hoping Ewing could translate his NBA legend status to get GTOWN back on the map ala Penny and Memphis but not seeing it so far. Thankfully DePaul, Butler, and Creighton have some good wins and are better. Will be interesting to see how Marquette does against Maryland tomorrow. The top 3 (Seton Hall, Villanova, Xavier) need to win some of their big non conference games remaining because they fell on their face in their first opportunities.
And like Samson Johnson, I'm not a fan of Akinjo's game at all. Some people bring him up and say Man I wish we had him. Sorry, he has some flaws and isn't good enough to overcome the cost of trying to keep him (another year of Ollie.) Now Kofi and Precious? Those are the fish I wish we caught. Really liking the players Hurley is identifying and landing. Even the ones we don't land are studs which shows he's on the right track.
Blackshear got into foul trouble again. When he doesn't play, they look lost on the court.
