I'm feeling like we're going to get a special outing from Jake tonight.
Or not…I'm feeling like we're going to get a special outing from Jake tonight.
Back in the win column!
Prefer Peterson to Joely, but I doubt either makes the postseason roster anyway in the bullpen. deGrom, Scherzer, Bassitt, Walker as the SPs. Diaz, Ottavino, Lugo, Megill, Carrasco, Givens, May all feel like locks in the bullpen. Which leaves 1 spot and I'd be much more confident with Trevor Williams or Drew Smith there than any of the leftiesNot a fan of Peterson out of the pen, either; but also not a fan of Rodriguez or Claudio. I'd prefer using Lugo as the first preference in those spots, but I suppose we need to keep at least one of those three, which is where Eppler's failure to land another lefty really hurts us.

Mets look to create new bullpen weapon as Max Scherzer’s return nears
As the Mets hope to welcome back Max Scherzer as a rotation weapon, they hope to create a new bullpen weapon in David Peterson.nypost.com
And it looks like you might have a healthy ace...We're in the playoffs!
Yeah, it was good to see Max return in top form, but just having him back in the clubhouse and dugout makes a huge difference in attitude with this team. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Mets stumbled each time he left for rehab starts. The players all describe his winning attitude as "contagious," and I was happy to see Steve Gelbs confirm last night that Scherzer--on the days he is not pitching--has had almost as big of an overall impact on the team as Buck. And it looks like you might have a healthy ace...
I'm not concerned. I believe that when we need to win to close it out? We have the guys (and coach) to do it.Alonso and Lindor with two huge swings tonight. Can the Braves just lose one game?
I’m not concerned about the Mets. But if they go 8-4 the rest of the way that might not be enough. The Phillies need to actually earn their way into the postseason by beating the Braves a few times.I'm not concerned. I believe that when we need to win to close it out? We are not losing tomorrow.Well I sure didn’t see the A’s lighting up Jake in a big game coming. If they beat Jake and Mac back to back and we end up losing the division I may kill myself.
Bassitt/Fried, deGrom/Wright, Scherzer/MortonLooks like the Braves will be bringing Kyle Wright, Max Fried, and Charlie Morton to the mound for the series with the Mets. Not sure who is slotted to pitch for the Mets in those games.

Not officially but was just going by what's listed on all the sites. I assume they'll keep them in the normal order since it keeps Scherzer/deGrom lined up for the wild card series. Hopefully we avoid that series entirely though and win the divisionI don't think they announced an order yet, and with days off this week they could theoretically throw them in any order. It wouldn't surprise me if they want to keep Scherzer on his regular rest, or if they want to give deGrom extra rest.
