Stroman sucks. He’s reinforcing my opinion that the AL sucks.

If he was meant to be Wheeler insurance, it looks to be paying off as well as Diaz did as Familia insurance. He's tough to watch. Nips the corners like Dice-K. Everything is a 3-2 count.
The Mets have a great broadcast team so I watch them a lot.
I have no ill will towards them beyond tweaking Dupester.
The Mets have the most inelastic MLB fanbase. Any other franchise this bad plays to crickets.
I'm like one of those wives that's been beaten for decades.
I'm going to try this line out in mixed company the next chance I get.

It's definitely small sample size. Stroman is a really good pitcher, I'd keep him over Matz and Wheeler if we're not keeping all 5Yea I’m hoping this is just a small sample size but he’s been really frustrating. I wonder who will provide more value next between him and Kay.
And of course McNeil gives it back by missing a pop foul that should have been the third out, resulting in two more runs.Giving credit where it’s due, Davis just made a nice play in left to limit a leadoff hit in the fifth to a single. Almost definitely saved a run. Hope he keeps it up.
Man this is painful. Time to switch to the Giants game, thank God.
C'mon, Deep. We've got the Dodgers next and we finish with three against the Braves, and after today we have no more games against the other teams in the WC race with us. We've improved our odds with this series, but still only around a 20% chance. I'm still interested and watching the games, which is a bonus in September, but I fully expect us to end up close but no cigar.2 back with 17 left to play. Trust in BVW. Right, whaler?
Conveniently leaving out the 10 games in between against the Rockies, Reds, Marlins who are all bad teams. I'd rather that than teams in the wild card raceC'mon, Deep. Yes, that's why our odds are better than the Phillies' odds, but I'd rather have a chance to take down the Cubs and Brewers ourselves with games against them. Getting swept by the Cubs--especially the last game of that series--is going to turn out to be the most critical point in the season imo.Conveniently leaving out the 10 games in between against the Rockies, Reds, Marlins who are all bad teams. Based on the remaining schedule, Brewers seem to be in the best position to grab the second WC.
Agreed on all of that. And I know I am biased, but I can’t help but believe that Alonso and McNeil are ready for prime time and would be a great story to sell. Pretty cool what Alonso did with those 9/11 cleats for the whole team. And they just lost Yelich. And they don't trot out our starting pitching.
Listen. I know what the odds are....but with less than 3 weeks left, the Mets are appointment TV for me. You can't say that every year.
Whoa, just checked the score for today's game. Offense clicking again, and now is Stroman.
This team has proven that no lead is safe, but this would be a nice four-game sweep before facing the Dodgers.
I have the feeling that we’re going to have to hope the same applies to Atlanta for our final three games. It will be great if we are still in the hunt then, but I hate the way they have owned us.Dodgers have clinched. Mets need every win. Momentum to the Mets. Maybe, just maybe.....they're catching the Dodgers at the perfect time. The Dodgers simply can't have the same sense of urgency on every at bat at this point, right here, right now.
I think we're in if we can somehow find a way to split the Dodgers/Braves series. Not gonna be easy thoughI have the feeling that we’re going to have to hope the same applies to Atlanta for our final three games. I hate it, need him in there every game. Especially against a leftyGood call to give Alonso the night off tonight imo. I love everything about the guy but he could use a day off. We need him to be him for this final stretch.
I think we may see him later, but he was starting to get a bit loopy.I hate it, need him in there every game. Especially against a lefty
I get why they did it. But just have a hard time agreeing with sitting your best player against the best pitcher they'll face the rest of the seasonI think we may see him later, but he was starting to get a bit loopy.
Mickey said he expects him to play every game after tonight.
Never a great time and I get your point but he was 0-12 and in his head with the mustache stuff. Granted I felt better about it when we were up 1-0. I had to run out and pick up my daughter and LA scored four runs in the meantime and Familia is pitching now so we’re gonna need some more runs...I get why they did it. But just have a hard time agreeing with sitting your best player against the best pitcher they'll face the rest of the season
