Eh, this loss will pass. Grabbing a wild card was a long shot at this point and, in the standings, this is just an L. Longer term, I think this settles the fact that Diaz just can't handle the pressure of a spotlight and his success was tucked up in Seattle in meaningless games. They'll have to address that in the offseason, obviously.

Agreed, but it was just such a Mets way to go out. Like we can't just fizzle out; it needs to be an epic meltdown.

Of course I fully expect them to draw us in again at least one more time and make us believe there is still a chance. And then rip our hearts out and stomp on them again. Just because.

Will Mets blow 4 run lead in bottom of 9th? Seth Lugo pitched to one batter in 9th and got the out. Wilson in to close. Got Zimmerman on hard liner, Now Suzuki (walks), Now Robles, Force out. Game over.

Looks like Lugo pitched two innings and Wilson is pitching the 9th and has already recorded two outs. They have a 99.8% win chance right now, so this would be an even more impressive loss.

The Mets have a great broadcast team so I watch them a lot.

I have no ill will towards them beyond tweaking Dupester.

The Mets have the most inelastic MLB fanbase. Any other franchise this bad plays to crickets.
