There are several there that Uconn has no chance of breaking. Geno will not allow it.
It seems to me that at least one of those records relate to men's basketball records and I'm not sure if that was what we were talking about. I'm referring to that Long Beach State record for most 100 point games in a season. I'm pretty sure that their women's team didn't have that kind of offensive power.

They certainly did. Also went to the final four that year, losing to Tennessee.

Nope - Long Beach State women in late 1980's were a fast breaking high scoring powerhouse. Averaged just under 96 points per game and finished with number 4 ranking.
following extracted from quick research and "google".
The other semifinal game matched 2 seed Tennessee against 1 seed Long Beach State. Although Long Beach was averaging over 96 points per game, and had scored 102 in the West Regional Final against Ohio
State, the Lady Vols held the team to 64 points, and upset the 1 seed by a score of 74–64

It's always great to see Tony's optimism. This year he has good reason, although projecting beyond one year is a dangerous thing. UConn certainly could win every game, most by really big margins (note how statistically precise I'm willing to be -- "really big" being a highly precise term). However, even if UConn wins it all in 13-14, that says nothing about the next year's team. Now, I'm willing to change my tune if one more recruit comes UConn's way, but I don't believe that, as presently constituted, UConn is a shoo-in at all. I have a lot of confidence in Morgan Tuck, who is underrated and may become one of the most important players on this year's team. But Kiah has a lot to prove, and the team needs her presence in there operating at full speed. We'll just have to see if that happens.

Tony, no one seems to be answering your question: When will we lose?
So I will.

Next possible loss: 2015
Next possible loss with A'ja: 2017

How's that for starters?

If the refs really mean business about cutting back on physicality of play (count me as dubious), that effort can only result to the benefit of UConn...weaker teams have very few alternative options.

Not so fast, we don't have a big bench if the refs start calling everything.

That's why Geno will be starting the walk-ons. They will get the fouls and do the fouling so that the AAs can come in the game later and secure the win.

For a program that has had 4 undefeated seasons, saying the best is yet to come is very heady. But I wondered about the new and improved Golden Age of UConn basketball myself. We have great classes from 2010, 2011, and 2012. Our 2013 class is small. We need to add more size in 2014. If we can get 3 of the top 6 in 2015, this could go on for a while, but more size is a key in 2014 and 2015.

Doesn't matter. "Twice half twice" evaluates to 2 (half twice being once), which is the correct number. Even if you read it "Twice half" twice it comes out OK.

Like I always say, multiplication is associative. Well, actually, I don't say it all that much. In fact, I can't remember the last time I may have said it. Doesn't make it any less true though.

They always get everyone's best shot. They are NOT Baylor, who was more of a two trick pony with Griner and Sims.
DD- they really had 2 superstars and a really really good supporting cast of players- Odyssey and BG- They had the talent and depth to really win it all- and they didn't. Best Point Guard by far and the most "dominate" post- they really did blow it!

Size is a funny thing - we were in the final four with Steph- and Maya sometimes at the 5 on defense when Steph was sitting and Samarie shipped out. We have had some pretty effective teams without alot of height. Stamford always has numerous trees and they havn't been effective especially latter years. I guess it's the right height. Versatility like Morgan has is critical- she can play anywhere and at 6'2' I don't think we get hurt at all with her as our 5. Breanna is like EDD, out of the park versatility, which certainly makes life easier. Strength in the post can sometimes neutralize height enough. St Johns beat us in Gampel with a short guard oriented athletic team. Not saying it isn't good to have! I was at Temple when if we did not sit Steph Dolson late and sub in the short guarc- Lauren Dixon, Georgetown would have beaten us. Our big team was not matching up and we were getting killed because Steph was too slow then when she was drawn out to defend. Similar to our loss to St Johns. Villanova Men won a NC with 4-5 guard offense yrs ago with Rollie M! I think they had no significant Bigs. having said that I have my fingers crossed re Aja like everyone else!

Baylor lost because they didn't adapt which was play perimeter defense. They relied on Griner to do it all and she was bottled up physically by LVille. See we learned a few years back that teams like Rutgers who play you physical will not foul out of the game. KM did not make the necessary changes in her game plan to shut down LVille either did Tenn. UConn did. You cant compare UConn to any other team in WCBB. UConn is coached at an entirely different level on defense especially. On offense its a team game not a one on one give it to me and let me shoot it. UConn is also a very good passing. unselfish team. St Johns loss was a fluke. After all the games UConn won in a row they were due to lose. This years version of UConn is so powerful, so good, so talented and has enough depth to compliment their starters they can only beat themselves and even that imo will be hard to do. IMO we don't play ND for a reason. ND is in the ACC and they could lose some games, plus ND is without Diggins who lived at the line along with her team mates. UConn is heathy, more experienced and better then they were last season. This season if we face ND it will be in UConns favor even if we meet in the NCAAs and ND has the home floor advantage. IMO we meet against a weaker seed. This season its not about by how many UConn will win by, its about how Geno manages to keep from embarrassing their opponets. We will get to see that early against Hartford, Stanford, MD, Penn St Duke and Cal.

I agree that there are ways to compensate for lack of size, but in 2015, we'll have Breanna, who seems to be pushing 6'5", and Morgan, who is very close to 6'1" in reality. No one committed in 2014 is over 6'0", and our top recruits in 2015 are a wing and a guard. I'd love to have a couple more Kiah Stokes-type players coming in soon, especially when UT and ND have skilled bigs.

Who does ND have beside Reimer that is big and skilled?

Achonwa. Oops , you mean going forward next year and after. Yes, Turner is big and skilled (as Cat pointed out) plus Westbeld is 6'2" I think(?).

Westbeld has been listed by most sites as 6-2 but she said she's 6-1 and that the ND coaches intend to play her on the wing.

Beating UCONN this year will be a very tall order for any team, but I think if a team comes out with a great game plan, then anything is possible. First off, you can't run with UCONN, teams that try to run with them get blown out early and often. You have to slow the game down, don't let them have second chance points and rebound, rebound, rebound. Don't turn the ball over, find a way to break their intense defensive pressure. UCONN scores points in flurries and at a quick rate. Sorta how like Mike Tyson knocked people out early and often. If you can survive the early flurries, then you have a chance later on in the game.
