TENN vs SCAR

Tenn has 10-0 run to go up 7

SC losing its composure, making dumb fouls

Harrigan picked up stupid second foul. TN now taking over. Time to switch over to football.

Lots of one on one stuff in this game. Westbrook did have one pretty pass to Russell but otherwise it’s kinda run and chuck.

For anyone that’s never seen an AAU game, this is pretty much what the majority look like

If both teams play their A game and Uconn plays their A game, Tennessee and South Carolina dont stand a chance.

Without Wilson, SC is a shell of themselves. This is going to be a long game and another rough SEC game to watch.

.-.
Another SEC match-up. Ugly, run and gun and low scoring. Not pretty basketball at all. And SC is not going away.

Is there a rule in the SEC that you can only play 25 seconds before the whistle has to blow?

SC is a poor shooting team, man, how many air balls have they shot?

I’m actually impressed that Holly got her team to pass more and the assists are piling up. And it looks so much prettier when the shots go in

.-.
Anastasia Hayes is a POINT GUARD!!!!! Take note Westbrook!

not sure why Dunbar wasn’t put in earlier when SC went into a zone. Kid’s a zone buster

11 first half assists for the Vols. Good ball movement by Westbrook and Hayes. South Carolina just doesn't have anyone who can stop Russell.

Russell's having a nice game
Yes, she is. She has a lot of untapped potential, IMO. Her footwork and positioning skills are underdeveloped as well as a reliable mid-range game

I don’t like how as soon as Dawn starts whispering in one of the refs ear you’ll hear a quick whistle right after. That’s when the refs suddenly change how the game is called and the fouls start mounting on the other team.

Assist are up this game for UT because of the A'ja factor. Or lack of A'ja really. Holly's game plan was a post entry every time down the floor knowing SCar had little to stop Russell. It also helps to reduce TO's. An obvious but effective offense strategy. SCar would do well to keep the final score under 10 points just to wag their finger and say, "Wait until we're full strength".

I don’t know if that’s the only reason, though. Tenn’s spacing and pace are much improved this game and when Russell was shut down earlier, Tenn found a way to penetrate the zone and make some jumpers. The offense seems to be clicking in this game.

Defense is another story. If South Carolina could make shots, they might actually have the lead. Heaven knows they’ve had enough open looks.

If a Wilson falls in the forest, does anyone hear a Tennessee victory?

We're getting a preview of South Carolina next season. Not pretty.

SC loses Wilson, Spann, and Cuevas-Moore. Wilson and Spann are starters, and only Wilson is out (Spann is not). Not sure what happened to Cuevas, but SC loses at least 2 starters and replaces them with what - Cooper and Henderson? No post presence per se to replace Wilson...

Folks on the BY like to complain about our bench. But seriously how many players in this game would crack Geno's rotation. At least three. After that I'm not so sure. Maybe two or three others? Maybe.

If you get the game on FS-1, try the Baylor-OK matchup. It’s a pretty high quality game with good passing, good defense, and good shooting. Turnovers are forced by tough defense rather than unforced types.

This is what I was just thinking. This doesn’t bode well for SC next year.

Cuevas can redshirt if she wants.

I believe Cuevas-Moore was injured early enough to get a Red Shirt.

Too much one on one play for South Carolina. Herbert is going to have to hit shots, along with others.
