Just a gutsy win. Sheffield, Buckman, Fagnano, Faumuina-Brown, and many others stood out. We did it with some key injuries on offense. Tough loss for Temple. That’s why you never give up on a game, even when it’s going bad. HOLY CRAP WHAT A WIN!!!

Nah. Cal's laterals on last play to score thru Stanford band will never be topped. But it's top 5.GREATEST ENDING IN CFB HISTORY
Isn't Evers like 1-2 as the starter?Happy about the win, but let’s put to rest the Fagano should be QB1 crap. Evers gotta be the guy when healthy. Win that much more comfortably with him today.
The frenzied crowd on the field in Nashville right now might disagree.GREATEST ENDING IN CFB HISTORY
With Fagnano as QB, Temple didn't need to defend the dual threat QB and they were able to shut down the run game. That is why UConn needs Evers.Isn't Evers like 1-2 as the starter?
But they shut down all three of our running backs. You think NE would have run all over them? Strange take. With Fagnano as QB, Temple didn't need to defend the dual threat QB and they were able to shut down the run game. That is why UConn needs Evers.
Also the Auburn-Alabama missed FG return. I've watched that 10 times over the years just for crowd reaction, and I don't give a cat's patootie about either program.Nah. Cal's laterals on last play to score thru Stanford band will never be topped. But it's top 5.

I keep flipping back and forth on this and last game I finally gave in to the Joe F crowd. However, today showed how the RPO is vital to this team. Our running game is our bread and butter. However, Joe can't be a reliable threat as a passer so teams key in on the run and take the risk JF might beat them in the air. Evers Makes the D have to decide which way to go. If he can become a decent passer we have a whole nother level. I am back to believing Evers is out better bet as a starter. However, this should probably stay in the QB thread. With Fagnano as QB, Temple didn't need to defend the dual threat QB and they were able to shut down the run game. That is why UConn needs Evers.

But did their game end in such a legendary fashionThe frenzied crowd on the field in Nashville right now might disagree.
Losing bell hurt more than Evers. Bell routinely seals the edge defender and is one of the biggest reasons for our rushing success. He's a phenomenal blockerNo, but you need to defend the QB run. With Fagnano, you don't.
Joe was bad today but he stepped up at the very end when we needed him to. Joe is inaccurate and isn't a run threat but he can make throws. Evers is a run threat but he's slight and hasn't shown any ability to make throws.Hard to run when your offensive line cabt get any traction.
It would take Evers 4 games to throw for 280.
Neither of these guys are great.
Top 25? LOL! Come on we beat a bad Temple team. Great we survived but we are so far from the top 25 right now. Need more consistency from the QB and our big strong OL was porous today. We dominated most of the game. Total yards, 1st downs, etc. Need to cut down on the TOs. Still a solid win and hopefully puts us in the Top 25. Lets Go!
Do we know how bad Skyler Bell's injury was? The announcers spent most of the day hyping 1-4 now Temple all game I barely heard anything about UConn. And they have 2 weeks to do so. That's 2 weeks for Evers to recover and for Skyler Bell.
