Tell me about the NEW Big Ten

Did Te'Biasu get time in the game? Curious as to your thoughts on how she did. Really hoping she has a strong season in her final year and at this level
Te'Biasu started and was the primary ballhandler over Shyanne Sellers. She played very well. She hit 4 three pointers in the game. Poffenbarger didn't play but the other 5 transfers all played very well. Te'Biasu will be a major help at PG.

Thanks for this insight. Been a fan of her from her highschool days in Quebec and Ontario.

Is Poffenbarger hurt? I became a big fan during her Arkansas days because she's such a grinder. I had a misconception of her when she came into the league, thinking she was a finesse player who just hung out on the three-point line. She got big and strong and became a superior rebounder. Oddly enough, though, she seemed to lose her three-point touch along the way. She seemed to show signs of recovering the touch at times last season, but I think the jury is still out.

Since the Terps played 12 players, they just sat Poffenbarger. She provides the Terps with the one thing they have been lacking the last two seasons. Rebounding. Obviously, McLean will help with that too.

This was great. But it's funny that Kelly Graves is like running this. Does Oregon not have a sports media department.

Michigan versus Northwood exhibition game about to start on B1G+.

“Some good, some bad, some ugly.” That is how the announcer has summed it up a couple of times and I agree.

43-30 Michigan leads at the half. Even against Northwood, their front court is ineffective. They will be channeling 2023-2024 UConn a bit and playing some 4-5 guard lineups.

Holloway stood out because of her athleticism.

Olsen is big. And she can create her own shot. I see why UConn wanted her.

Swords quiet. Shot blocked a couple of times. Foul trouble. Overdribbled and turned the ball over a few times. Effective as a shot creator though. Probably has a few assists.

With Holloway in foul trouble, I saw a lot of point guard by committee from Michigan.

Olsen is up to 22 points. Easily player of the game.

Michigan is pressing still in the 4th quarter. I am not sure why. I view this game as preparation. And I can’t imagine they will press South Carolina.

81-52 Michigan.

We don't hear much about Olsen anymore since she committed to Michigan early. We'll start hearing about her now, I think. She is a great basketball player. My favorite thing about her is her passing, but she can also really shoot it.

It is actually Olson. I was confused because the jersey said Olsen. But the university of Michigan must have spelled her name wrong somehow. Oops.

Basically cosign all of this. I don't think they will pose much of a problem for SC but its a great matchup for the young players. I can see Olson and Kitts really going at it. I don't love Hobbs starting at center but I like her game.

Regarding Hobbs, don't think they have much choice right now. They lost their post/forward depth when Williams and Evans transferred.

I was disappointed they didn’t really run anything for Hobbs or try to set her up in anyway offensively.

Maybe that’s just how good Olson is? She’s the best shot creator on the team already?

Sounds like PK is injured. But interesting preview. I really don't like the idea of having 7 guards and that Graves unabashedly said he has no idea the direction he wants to go with them. Id imagine he could play a lot of them 1-3. But I actually think a lot of them r lead guards

It sounds like both Kyei and Kelly are dealing with leg injuries. His comments about their timeline for return caught my attention as it sound like Kyei would be back before Kelly, but when is unknown for the both of them.

Michigan didn't look too bad or good in their game against Northwood. I was impressed that Coach gave my little niece some minutes!! Way to go, Macy!! Jordan is my DAWG! I think she is going to have a huge season. Syla looked decent out there. She has so much potential. Once her confidence grows and she feels and knows that she can play at this level, she is going to be okay. Olson looked decent as well. She will be in the same boat as Sword. Once she develops her confidence and starts to feel comfortable, she is going to be nice.

Syla played some point guard and that is a surprise (to me at least). That happened when Holloway got into foul trouble.

Last I heard is that Kelly will be ready for opener but Kyei will not. Kyei is on the floor at practice but being held out of contact.

Thanks for the update on Kelly. The interview clip didn't make it sound like she was going to be back for the start of the season.

I like how ucla is so big they got Dugalic going for small forward awards. But I really wonder if she'll play the 3 or they'll put Jaquez at the 3. Will Londyn Jones start?

I think Dugalic will play more 4/5 for the Bruins. Jaquez and Gardiner are more suited to the small forward position. Then again the positional year-end awards have had curious candidates in the past….

I watched 3 quarters of the Iowa exhibition game. Hard to reach any conclusions given the opponent.

I will say. Michigan and Iowa are the only teams I have really watched so far. And Iowa looked more polished than Michigan. They actually ran some sets.

Barring major injury, post-CC Iowa won't be a pushover come March.

For me, the biggest question is not in missing Clark. It’s Bluder’s absence. I know it’s the same system under an experienced assistant who has been promoted. Still, it rarely a smooth transition from a long time successful coach.

Big question: who is going to have the highest attendance this year? Iowa or STATE. ( I know y’all sold out season tickets again)

Great podcast previewing the Big 10 season with IU radio voice Austin Render and analyst Meghan McKeown. I have no particular interest in the league, but I have listened to every episode of this podcast, which previews every Big 10 team with their radio announcers. I found all of them to be knowledgable. Render himself is a natural. This podcast came out today at noon to give folks a chance to hear it before the season starts Monday. Once the season starts, each episode will be released on Mondays at noon.

There could be a domino effect. Jensen had a great reputation for developing post-players. But now that she's a head coach that responsibility will have to be delegated. It'll be interesting to see how that goes
