For some reason, that shot is the moment sticks out in my mind when I think of "UConn at MSG." I know there are bigger, more important moments, but it is what it is.

I loved that UConn-Pitt rivalry of the early 00's.

That was such a great game. I remember Brandin Knight hurting his knee, then staying in the game to put up a halfcourt shot at the end of the first OT that just barely missed. Then Taliek's shot.

I loved that team.

Hurley continues to impress. I really think we could be in store for a quick turnaround similar to Ohio St.'s this year after letting Matta go and bringing in Holtmann.

The difference there is that Thad Matta is a good coach. Much better than the guy we replaced.

The Courant article about him said that he actually came back to UConn and got a degree in political science in 2013. Pretty cool to see that.

Look folks, Hurley has a very good and talented team. It’s a mixture of youth and players with experience. There is a lot of similarities with this team and the 2011 and 2014 team. Adams is the KEY. Hurley must capitalize from the success of this season and reel in more talent. As it stands we have yet to get a quality commit under Hurley and hope this changes soon.

Assuming so since the Courant article said he was taking over for KFree. KFree was on the bench last year, wasn't he? I can't remember since I've tried to block the entire season out of my mind!

Mau is excited about this hire. Never said he wasn’t tough as hell and a great defender, 2nd to only Ricky. These are coaching requirements and he can be very good helping to instill these things.

Yes he was at UConn taking classes over the summer for past few years. I believe you need your degree to become a coach at this level. Probably what he was planning on doing

A local station did a story on him last year. He was very well-spoken and pro-UCONN.

Love this hire. Toghness thru and thru.

As an aside, I got to see to Taliek play at the Greater Hartford Pro-Am back in about 2010 or so and after playing professionally for five or six years his offensive game was vastly expanded. I think he will be a great mentor to the guards on the roster.
