Sunday (3/10) games

I spot Adam Amin and Kara Lawson!

I don’t think it matters much. Iowa already got crushed by ND, might as well try their luck with Baylor on a neutral court.

If they make it that far

Did I hear that right? Vic bragging about McCowan's 2.67 GPA? Is a B- really something to boast about?

For her it is! She has been a chore to coach for 4 years, off the court. She almost left school a couple of times to quit and go home her freshman year. She is a kid that will graduate from college when alot of people close to the program didn't think she'd last long.

That seems like a big lead in a UCF game but Cincinnati has some shooters, not out of it yet.

I think UCF has the better athletes across the board and especially in the post. That should help. 61-53 with 3' left. Just glad they are being worked hard by Cinn.

Sorry I have no idea what play you are referring to concerning Teaira but in the Iowa State/Texas game, I think blocking a shot, then standing over the fallen player and staring at her would/should be called taunting 99% of the time.
The only thing that would have made it more obvious was if she reached out to help her up and then pulled her hand back.
Players are taught to block the shot and then get ready for the next play.

Oh, I agree about the men's game where that "behavior" is the norm and why I haven't watched a men's game in 20+ years, college or the Not Basketball Anymore.

She wasn't standing over her.

Iowa Big Ten tourney champs; soundly defeats Maryland, 90-74. And that Megan kid? Not too bad either. Tourney MOP, as it turns out. 45 points? Wowzers!

And that's the biggest win of all.

That might be true your description bore any semblance to the reality . Mide was 7-8 feet away from Carlton. The ref appeared reacting to the energy in the room and not the action on the floor. Mide did not move towards Carlton, did not lean over and the ref was not in a position to confirm whether her eyes were even directed at Carlton. It was a terrible call.

Stanford out to an 8-0 lead. Thought I would write quickly before OU storms back. ;)

I'm waiting for @triaddukefan to talk about how much Stanford is struggling! They seem to possess the ability to reverse jinx teams!

UCF wins 66-58 Cinci; apparently UCF frequently uses a surge in the 4 quarter to ice the game. In this game UCF used 3s to create separation even though it's Cinci that usually relies on the 3 ball. Kay Kay Wright of UCF ca. 16 pts. Until about half way thru the 4th it was neck and neck. The UCF bench celebrations are delightful.

.-.
UCF starting to seperate with a few 3pt shots. 55-47 with 6 minutes left. Kiki Wright having a good game.
I see it was a 66-58 final. For UCF that’s a lot of points actually. Wright had 21 and I see that Kaba, one of their bigs off the bench; added 13 on 6-8 shooting.

This is probably enough for the at large bid by no means is it certain.

Ionescu is going to foul out both of the Hull twins at this rate.

So glad the PAC 12 final is on ESPN2. The PAC 12 network is SD and blurry no matter how I adjust the picture.

After winning the semifinal, Coach Abe was asked What about UConn? She replied something like "I don't know -- fast transitions -- I don't know." I'm sure they'll think of something.

18-11 Stanford after Q1. Decent game but not real crisp, both teams missing plenty of open shots.

edit--wow Oregon is only 4-17 from the floor; Stanford should be further ahead than 7

Smith with a great end of Q1 statement block on a corner 3 from Boley Yaeger :D

That quarter couldn’t have gone much worse for Oregon. Wow were they cold shooting. Stanford ran out to a 10-2 lead and have announced this will be no blowout.

I’m concerned about Oregon’s body language. They look tired and flat. Last night’s UCLA game looks like it sapped something from them. They have so little depth and to me the starters look tired.

The shot attempt was byYaeger, not Boley. But yeah nice block.

If Stanford ends up beating Oregon badly, would they leap frog Oregon and take the Portland regional from them??

Tara is one of the all time greats, but the sound of her voice would drive me crazy.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves and get the woofing gods involved here, Plebe! One quarter at a time...

Creme just insinuated that.
