Thank you Hooper! If anyone wants to read that article without the paywall locking it up here's a link.
“Really and truly, the biggest thing for Stephon was going there and being able to see the boys practice,” Quannette noted. “We went to other schools and haven’t had the ability to see the kids practice, so those were really, really big things for him. The campus was wonderful ... and just sitting down and speaking with Danny. He’s such an authentic coach. He’s really interested in Stephon’s recruitment and getting him to UConn. It was just a great experience all the way around.”
UConn recruit Stephon Castle got a surprise visit of his own during his trip to Storrs
Not a done deal. Seems like it’s down to us and Auburn. Probably a coin flip at this point. We can hope thoughThe Castle has been stormed. It's taken.

I'm expecting Pearl's last ditch offer to be of the strong-ass type.Let’s see how this goes…
Hopefully only as strong as Howard's towards Clingan for Michigan.I'm expecting Pearl's last ditch offer to be of the strong-ass type.
Off-topic but I saw the trophy on the right and thought to myself "When did Auburn win a national championship??"
If you zoom in, it's their trophy for winning the Midwest Region and making it to the Final Four, LOL that's cute![]()
And what's right before Thanksgiving? Battle 4 Atlantis. Uconn vs Auburn. Spicy. You'd think if it's us he won't actually wait until Thanksgiving. Hoping that's just a misdirection.
Silence the positivity!!!!Shut up, Dove.
His mom just tweeted this...
His dad also tweeted a praying Emoji in regards to him playing here. Safe to say they sold the parents...
Can confirm recruits spend a ton of time with a few current players during their visits. I was still at Uconn when Andre had his visit and we saw him out at night with some of the team, that’s when I knew we were recruiting right.I’m stating the obvious, but this staff is very good at recruiting. There’s no ego involved, no one cares who gets the credit- they just focus on their targets and put forth tremendous effort.
Wherever Hurley’s been, they have had a few set priorities with these visits. They lay out the role they see for the player and have the kid see a practice, which are pretty standard. They are great at communicating with parents. Their practices are good- entertaining, focused, intense.
They also want the recruit to spend time with his potential future teammates away from the coaches. They want the current players to talk honestly about what it’s like playing for these coaches and in this program. Some coaches micro-manage this stuff; these coaches trust their guys and want them to be honest.
Let’s see how this goes…
