Some new scrimmage highlights

• Scrimmages aren't always much to look into... but he looks stronger and more athletic.
• Kept his shot in 3 range a couple times instead of taking it in for a longer 2... like what I'm seeing there.
• Would love to see him hitting multiple 3s like this a game. Wasn't so consistent a year ago.
• Didn't play a bunch of minutes and scored most of his points in the first 8 minutes it seems... distributed the ball more later on.
• He dips on his 3. UGH.
• I could 20 points and 3 assists.

I would imagine we’ll start seeing the crystal balls start coming in this week and give an idea where this is headed. In any event, brilliant job by the staff to close on this and put us in a good spot with a really talented kid. Dan talked a lot during the COVID blackout about how they really believe their best asset is getting kids physically on campus to see what the program is all about and this could potentially be the best example of that to date if we pull it out

After Ayala gave us fits in the tournament and Gillespie had a field day going to the block against our guards, I think there’s definitely an emphasis on getting more size at the guard spot moving forward.
