So Carolina vs Miss State

35 - 28 Miss State

1.6 seconds left in half.

Entertaining game. Neither team is clean offensively. Miss State is a better defensive team so far.

Ha, what a pointless third foul on McCowan. Schaefer probably thinking, "Lord save me from inexperienced centers..." :D

Somewhere an SEC coach is writing their complaint to the NCAA!?? Somebody find Balcomb!??
LOL, Balcomb is the Director of Coaching Offensive Analytics for South Carolina.

I cannot understand Dawn's apparent affection for the play of Cuevas. She is very TO-prone, and she makes way too many bad decisions. Quickness, yes. Refined skills, no.

Ha! Well make sure she is still on the bench after halftime!

A'ja Wilson has 16 of USCs 26 points.

But that's the problem. USCe is so intent on getting the ball down low into Wilson and Coates their offense is stagnant. Wilson is 7 of 8 and Coates is 2 of 2 but the team only scored 28 points !! As Vic just said re: Wilson and Coates being effective in the first half.
" I'll take it if we can hold them to 28 points in the second half".
So Dawn is sacrificing their entire offense so 2 players can get the ball.
The result, 28 points and a lot of turnovers.

Geez, these coaches are crazy. Maryland good enough to be a 1 seed yet scheduled so poorly they are currently a 3. Why do that to your team?

No great shakes on the foul situation for either teams' post players - both Wilson and Coates have 2 each, and Okorie also has 2 to go with McCowan's 3 (including that head scratcher at the end)...

Question to ponder at halftime. South Carolina has 26 pts. Is that poor offense or good defense by Mississippi State!??

Last time she played like that for a half, I called her a train wreck then she went out and scored 100 points in the second half, lol.

While I disagree with MD as a 3 seed, it has more to do with how good we know they are based on their game vs. UCONN. If their SOS and other quantifiable factors are that poor, it should force coaches to beef up their OOC schedule.

Well, my former stats prof taught us that "...if you flip a nickel enough times, it will eventually land on edge." You just caught up with her "nickel moment" in history. ;-)

Who needs offensive analytics........all SC does is take a quick three or throw the ball inside........don't know how they can be any more predictable
