I would prefer a non "Blue Blood" take it. UVA, Nova, etc. Basically anybody but Duke, UNC and Kansas. Don't want any programs perceived to be better than us to get more momentum. That's just me...

Sorry zy, but if I get a voice in next year's hanging I'll recommend the troll that was babbling about churchy people and washing windows. The sheer wimpiness of that guy's posts wilted any mojo that might have been borne of AugustWest's hanging.

His original post was spot on and not something many of us wanted to hear. He was right, to compete with them we needed a lot of things to fall the right way and that did not happen. We did need Amida to be a positive factor in the game and that did not happen at all. What may have sounded arrogant was just true. We have posters who are quick to be nasty to visitors.

I get that. Me too. Just wishing beakum well since he's been a cool poster here for a long time. But would prefer an underdog to take the crown.

If we're gonna complain about other fan bases being @sshats, then we outta look in the mirror sometimes and not be hypersensitive to ANY opposing fan that pops in on our little island here. It's not always meant to be smack talk.

if KU cuts down the nets, which I give them virtually no chance of, can you have Self take off the rug and Ellis dunk it in celebration.

Bah, his original post was trolling as were his follow ups.

1. Quasi-reasonable opening post, but with sarcasm and condescension.
2. Faux hurt outrage when his post gets the predictable response.
3. Runs back to home board to report trolling and trash us behind our backs.
4. Comes back for a victory lap after the win.

Beakum's a good guy but he was a bit of a jerk this go round.

I would have been fine if he just never came back this time. He's like that dog you own that always pisses in the house, one day he runs away, and you don't really care if he comes back. Cleaning up piss gets annoying after the 3rd time.
 
Based on what I saw Kansas should win it but things don't sometimes work out. Our down low weaknesses were exposed but was hoping for a crazy shooting night to overcome. Good luck the rest of the way.

UVA would be great. Oregon, Oklahoma, whomever too. But you really just say want Nova to win the title?

Beakum is a master troller from way back and, I think, that's why many like him. Those of you who wish him whatever probably do not remember his entrance, which in my slightly (hic!, cough!) state I cannot recall clearly either, but he has been a feature (not a bug) in the Boneyard since before the Dogfather Daze. We would never had Mafia in the summer, now we just have Pizza threads (and we had those too) And I swear it was Beakum who brought Love Potion to our attention. (sure.. hic! cough!)
And .g.d. it, but that was a buttkicking we are accustomed the Huskies delivering, not receiving. Rock Chalk Jayhawk to KU, till next time.

I don't consider them to be a significant threat to catching Uconn in terms of titles, atleast not in the near future. I know they are a former big east rival, but if they take a title away from kansas, then no, I don't care if they get one this year. Let those clowns eat cake.
