I still don't agree but don't want to extend the argument. But I fail to see how pasting SMU by 40+ points shows that UConn will have trouble against South Carolina.
Has Crystal Dangerfield hit a single shot today?
But they got blocked!Baskets in the Paint Final
SMU 8 (3-2-1-2)
UConn 22 (6-5-4-7)
j/k, good people.Didn't say and didn't mean that. This team always rises to the occasion and manages to figure out a way to win. As Geno said at the end, its a long season and this team needs a team to push them in order to get the best from them. Again as Geno said, you can't expect all your shots to fall all the time. You need to find other ways to score, and as usual today they did. Also SMU' is a good reminder to this team of how to attack and beat length. Just what they needed before Monday.I still don't agree but don't want to extend the argument. But I fail to see how pasting SMU by 40+ points shows that UConn will have trouble against South Carolina even if Napheesa and Gabby get blocked a couple times.
Glad I am not the only one think it is stupid ....LOLWould someone please find LeBrons chair so they will stop showing that stupid commercial over and over.

Just like you can't look at a Gabby and Napheesa getting blocked a few times and conclude that it means anything in the South Carolina game.Eh, against a team like SMU, you can't just look at the final score and conclude "we beat them by a lot, we're totally fine".
Nice I was hoping you'd capture that graphic.

Yeah, I expect Geno to push the player off the block and give the post defender help once Coates or Wilson attempt to put the ball on the floor. Expect the help to come from Gray's off side. She's too dangerous from the perimeter. One of the things UConn did frequently today, and will certainly do on Monday, is double the ball when it came into the post.
Help will typically come from the offside. If you have good passing BIGS, they can kick the ball out for open 3's, but quite frankly I don't consider Wilson or Coates good passers. They are far more likely to force shots or lower their heads and get called for charging.Yeah, I expect Geno to push the player off the block and give the post defender help once Coates or Wilson attempt to put the ball on the floor. All correct. Yeah generally offside. But this game whoever defends Gray probably won't help since she's their real perimeter threat so....Help will typically come from the offside. Physical game man, and from the start.I am sure nobody keeps stats on this, but I think today's game takes the record for the most tie-ups in the history of the game! It actually became tiresome.
I could rewatch and count them, but it was hard enough to watch the first time.
I thought that also!Am I crazy or did SMU get the possession arrow on two tie ups in a row near the end of the 3rd? Rewound it too and double checked.
Java Who where the two girls sitting behind the UConn bench in Huskies sweats?
