This is what I hear. The staff in best case scenario gets him this year to play. (Long long shot). They do not want him to prep but sit out a year at Uconn and work with our staff. Have him work with the players and then play in a year. They do not want him to prep and possibly pick another school next year

Correct.

And it' not obvious to a dope like you he wished he had come to UConn in the first place they lost to his parents not to the kid. They did their job now just go away.

Not for nothing but he would probably be a Top 25 in the class of 2018 if he never reclassified and just came out like he is effectively doing now, (by transferring) - so this could be a nice break for us and a catalyst to get some of these other high-end recruits to commit and give the program some positive momentum.

Im not sure youre right on that. hes a pretty limited player. Great athlete and long singspan, but hes not there skills wise to be a 5 star player.

IDK about probably being top 25, he's ranked around 100 on most sites for 2017. Maybe like 50-ish or so. Not trying to be a bummer.

Hate to be a buzzkill but he wasn't anywhere near the top 25 when he was in 2018. He usually hovered around the mid-70's. Love his game and want him badly but nobody had him as a top 25 guy

Question then is: How does he compare to Nolley / Mucius / Iggy B?

I'm happy we (presumably) caught a break here, but curious to know if he would be a higher priority over those guys if he was still 2018.

You could probably just copy that and re-use it in every thread on the Boneyard. Well every one except the pizza and beer threads, of course.

No, it wasn't that. Those guys are good posters.

But we don't even have this kid and are not a lock to get him...just wait a little while before you try to fact check a post opining on the kid's ranking had he stayed in 2018.

Saw him at 51st for 2017, so after a year of being able to practice with whatever team he goes to (hopefully the Huskies) I would think that - that experience and hitting the weight room with a real trainer, etc. would elevate his talent level once he takes the floor in 2018 to somewhere in the Top 25 of that class. Just looking at the upside of such a scenario.

Something about this situation stinks and I doubt we'll know what for a long time.
