tcf beat me to it. Averaged 10 pts & 11 rebounds in 2 games against Yale. 2 games against Harvard avg. 17 & 11.5.
Cuse 12 & 5.
If we get 50% of those numbers( I know we will get more), it would be an upgrade, plus maturity, basketball experience

Against top 100 KenPom teams this year:

South Carolina: 29 minutes, 9 points (2/6 FGs), 3 rebounds (5 fouls)
Penn State: 34 minutes, 15 points (7/12 FGs), 3 rebounds
Syracuse: 37 minutes, 12 points (6/11 FGs), 5 rebounds
Buffalo: 34 minutes, 20 points (8/18 FGs), 10 rebounds
Yale: 32 minutes, 15 points (6/20 FGs), 11 rebounds
Harvard: 30 minutes, 10 points (1/10 FGs, 7/8 FTs), 8 rebounds
Yale: 20 minutes, 9 points (4/10 FGs), 7 rebounds (5 fouls)
Harvard: 38 minutes, 24 points (7/16 FGs, 8/8 FTs), 15 rebounds

Nice! I like how his all around productivity remains the same despite some bad shooting nights.

I'd put him on the back burner but if he could be a consolation prize to our top targets I'd say go for it instead of allowing scholarships to rot on the vine. Another big body in practice couldn't hurt if anything.
No doubt, I'd rather have miller, but 10 points and 5 boards in the BE aint bad.

And if you go back to his sophomore year, he had 13 (4 of 10, 5 of 5) and 15 against Vanderbilt, and 14 (7 of 10) and 6 against Duke.

Your last question answered your first question.

In this particular instance, I think we're better off not hosting a one-year NBA audition.
Doltt! My bad. I've been out of the loop of college hoops back stories like that since I had kids. No idea about the kid's father.

Also who is really testing/pushing our bigs in practice? I still contend that Brimah probably looks NBA ready in practice.

I think this is a really important, under-discussed issue.

Our bigs have failed to develop the way we were used to seeing. Consider this contrast:

In the mid-2000's, Hilton Armstrong practiced against Emeka Okafor, Charlie Villanueva, and Josh Boone. Of course his game was going to improve being tested against those guys.

Now, Brimah has to "best" Nolan, Facey, and Lubin. Not hard to do.

Im too lazy to look up stats but Harvard and Yale were better than the whole bottom half of the AAC so maybe look at those games.
I would not say that they wer better. I had better records. I am sure the season would have been a spilt with some of the bottom teams. Both Yale and Harvard had some bad losses. At any rate I am with you. Bring the guy in and I am sure he will bring experience. If he knows how to use his size affectively, well be better.

Sounds like a perfect pickup for next season's Huskies. Getting excited about returning to the tourney next year!

No jokes please, but are people being a little too generous in translating his Ivy League numbers to our team?

The article said he was second to Justin Sears in the Ivy. Justin Sears went 12 & 15 against us in a 45-44 point game. If he's close to that, sign him up quick.

Ivy League rules: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/04/s...ifth-year-but-it-cant-be-at-cornell.html?_r=0

Miller, who missed last season after shoulder surgery, is in the curious position of having a year of eligibility left but not being able to use it at Cornell. An Ivy League rule forbids the participation of graduate students, so Miller will essentially be a free agent come his graduation in May.
he has to transfer because Ivey League schools give you only 8 semesters as a student. Which is why an injured football player will withdraw from school.. Rather than use up semesters being injured.

I like the productivity, but I think he's also probably got a pretty high basketball (and otherwise) IQ. We could use some of that for sure. People knowing when to make the plays that need to be made. When not to foul, when to attack a defender and draw a foul. We're definitely lacking there. Hope the coaches can bring him here, nobody needs him more.

Maybe Miller/Purvis can become roomies???? :)
