All injuries get cleared by doctors and not all ended up like Durant. A lot of nephews only say a player was rushed to go back playing if they get injured again and if they don't get injured again, they weren't rushed at all even with the same recovery time or even shorter.doctors cleared Durant, we all know what happened vs the raptors in that next game he played.
And... there is a MOUNTAIN of difference between NCAA WBB and NBA Play Offs given the prize money and more involved with Pro Basketball. Durant went back in too early....a GAMBLE that failed. He and the Team knew they needed him...or at least thought they needed him...to win. That didn't work out the way they hoped. All injuries get cleared by doctors and not all ended up like Durant. I will be there even if the state closes I84 (I've done it before).A side note. Mrs. oldude & I were thinking about driving down to the game tomorrow from Saratoga. Unfortunately, we’re going to get hit with a foot of snow through late afternoon, so we decided it would be safer to stay home and watch it on tv.
With that said, I have to wonder what the news of Paige’s return will do for ticket sales at The XL Center for tomorrow’s game?
This, exactly, but some still consider this rushing. I don't know anymore. I'm just happy she's back.Paige has been on the mend for 10+ weeks. NO ONE in the process is pushing anything, and we've heard it multiple times...
He might be sitting in the Bouknight memorial seat.Ok. Did the Doc get season tickets?![]()
Of course we don't see how she's been moving in practices and what she has been attempting on the floor (quick changes of direction, sharp stops and starts, leaps and landings), so it's impossible to know or predict her readiness. But she's gotten the OK. Still, I'll be holding my breath while she's in any games for awhile . . . really.I hate to be a killjoy, and no I'm not a doctor and no I don't think that Geno or the med staff want PB to get reinjured but.......I really don't get it........she was favoring the leg a week ago, doesn't seem to be moving that comfortably the other day and now she's coming back with two games left in the regular season against St Johns when she's clearly not needed? My preference would be for her to continue to practice with the team at least until the first or second game of the Big East Tournament........![]()
Tsk, tsk-- if she can't drop at least 40% of her 3-point attempts, there will be many boneyarders demanding that she go back into rehab.I assume Paige will come off the bench on Friday. I honestly don’t care if she turns it over half a dozen times and she can’t hit the broad side of a barn shooting it. But the thrill that UConn fans will collectively feel when she takes off her warmups, heads over to the scoring table and checks into the game will be unbelievable.

Badass Award starts after the game and you select the best player in the game. Are the polls open for the St. John's game Badass Award yet?
I guess that is not Geno's preference !I hate to be a killjoy, and no I'm not a doctor and no I don't think that Geno or the med staff want PB to get reinjured but.......I really don't get it........she was favoring the leg a week ago, doesn't seem to be moving that comfortably the other day and now she's coming back with two games left in the regular season against St Johns when she's clearly not needed? Not the best player, but the BadAss player. I believe that many people will pick Paige, because she's back before the Tournament and to them that is Bad Ass!Badass Award starts after the game and you select the best player in the game.
Sometimes too much energy, she almost took a couple of players out with those crutches.Paige gets enough accolades for her basketball prowess, but she deserves so much credit for her positive, upbeat attitude since the day she sustained her energy. She worked hard & eagerly assumed the role of cheerleader on the bench for every game. What a role model & positive example for any player suffering a serious injury!

And it was Alexa Philippou that penned the story. Bet she loved being able to write that since she did cover Paige over the past couple of years.Among ESPN’s top overall (not just WBB) headlines:

Paige Bueckers recovered from knee surgery, will rejoin UConn Huskies women's basketball team for game Friday game
Paige Bueckers has been cleared to return from knee surgery and will suit up for the first time since early December when the Huskies take on St. John's on Friday.www.espn.com
Okay, new plan. Have her shoot all her 3pt shots from the logo to avoid contact.Tsk, tsk-- if she can't drop at least 40% of her 3-point attempts, there will be many boneyarders demanding that she go back into rehab.![]()
I'd be satisfied with a double-double in her 10 to 15 minutes of play. It’s funny, we all are saying (sincerely, I believe) that we are not expecting her to do much more than to safely get her toes wet, but I get the feeling none of us would be very surprised if she came out and scored 20 with 8-10 assists. I realize she probably won’t be in long enough to do that but still! Wishing her well, that’s for sure!
