All of these recruits come to UConn with NO guarantee of any playing time. It is earned through performance. First in practice, then in games. There are literally multiple dozens of instances of Hurley AND players saying this. The players say it’s one of the draws of coming to the current UConn culture. A chance to prove themselves in the highest level program.
What you’re saying is simply absurd and implies they are somehow entitled to playing time just for putting on the uniform.
No one is entitled at all and none of us are at practice. But with some of the performances and especially in the first half, not to think Nowell or Abraham can’t at least potentially bring a different piece is absurd. Short ropes have killed Nowell and watching Stewart and Ross at times become Casper makes me think a talented kid like Abraham should at least see the court just in case there may be something there. Loyalty is great but it can also hurt.
Add to that Reed with only 10 minutes is also crazy!
