September 2019 WNBA Discussions, scores, game info, pictures

Tolliver subbed in Q1, her first appearance in about a month. 21-13 Mystics. Plum just broke a 12-0 run by Washington.
 
I know I'm biased. In the last game Plum played most of the game, and played well, while J. Young sat on the bench. This game Plum sat most of Q1. She's made an immediate impact w/ 5 points 2 assists and a rebound. She should be the PG for LV.
 
Wow, Mystics looked like they were gonna run away w/ this, but Aces came storming back. 30-27 after Q1. Fast paced. LV is 11-15 FG to 13-28 for Washington. Big discrepancy in attempts.
 
10-0 run by LV, up 48-41 w/ 3:16 left in Q2. Who woulda guessed they would be the team looking more efficient on offense between the two. Mystics have looked a bit rushed at times and taking a few poor shots, not what I'm used to seeing from them. Wilson leading everybody w/ 15 points, Meesseman has 12.
 
57-50 LV at halftime. They are shooting 60% from the floor, hard to see that holding up.
 
15 points for Wilson, 10 each for Cambage and Plum, 9 for Hamby.

Meesseman and EDD w/ 12 each and 9 apiece for Cloud and Sanders.
 
7-0 run by Washington to start Q3. LV went with their starters. Laimbeer put Plum back in once the lead was nearly gone. He might figure this out eventually.
 
Meesseman is going nuts in Q3. 13 in the quarter and 25 for the game. Wilson not far behind w/ 20 points.
 
I don't know if I ever thought I would say this, but...put Plum on triple double watch. 14 points 7 rebounds 7 assists w/ 10 minutes to go.
 
Washington is looking more like Washington now. They've been cold from 3 most of the game but warming up now. 85-75 lead. LV looking more like LV, disjointed, whoever touches the ball launches a shot.

Cambage dragging them down. Players half her size overpowering her. :eek:
 
Cambage is playing terrible. She's too slow out there when all of their posts are laterally quick, and can shoot 3s. 4 poor plays in a row by her to start the quarter

She had a terrible sequence w/ a couple missed bunnies, had a D board ripped away from her, then had an entry pass poked away from behind. For someone so big, she's not playing very strong.
 
Do the refs whistles not work tonight? They have been calling so many fouls late
 
Tolliver shaking off some rust, playing well in Q4.
 
Back to back shot clock violations by the Mystics. What are they doing? 8-0 run by LV.
 
Man, I thought this was over. Washington was up 13, now it's 95-93 w/ 1:33 left.
 
EDD w/ a huge turnaround J. 97-93 w/ 32 seconds left.

I don't know. It looked less impactful in slow motion and Plum did lean in a bit. Still, I agree it is usually called. Would have been a fun OT.

She pulled up and EDD ran over her. I don't see any way that's not a foul. Except that Plum simply doesn't get whistles. Averaged about 1 FTA per game this season.

She had a terrific game though. 16 points 9 assists 7 rebounds. Let's see if Laimbeer is smart enough to start her next game. I'm guessing no. Tamera Young gave them nothing tonight and he benched Jackie Young most of the second half (and that was after playing 4 minutes against Chicago). Between the 2 of them, one needs to sit in favor of Plum.
 
Meesseman and EDD scored 27 and 24 respectively. Q3 belonged to Emma and EDD took over Q4. Wilson scored 23 and Cambage and McBride had 19 each.
 
Shaping up to being 2 great series. :D
